<p>Hi guys, I was elected VP and Secretary respectively to my school’s Applied Engineering Club and Solar Cup Team, which is a competition where we try to build an awesome boat powered exclusively by solar energy. The thing is, I just realized that the founders of these two organizations only charted Applied Engineering Club at my school, and though they do things for each team/club, I was wondering if we are allowed to carry officer positions for teams that aren’t officially a club or something recognized by the school. The Solar Cup team is recognized by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, however.</p>

<p>It’s still a club, but not a school-sponsored club, I think. It’s still a legitimate responsibility.</p>
