The weather in California is supposedly better, not as hot as this. It is 95 degrees out there.
How long will we have such a terrible weather! It is almost as hot as Texas, except that many of us here in Ca do not have an AC while most people in Texas will stay inside a house with an AC. /Rant off.
South San Jose: 101 degrees now!
Just look it up, many cities in the NE have a better weather now (e.g., 78 in Boston., while those of us who pay the “sun tax” in California have to suffer in the 95-degree weather.)
We are all just spoiled. Our weather is pretty perfect 90% of the year. This is definitely unusually hot for our area-we are having to experience what much of the rest of the country has to live with all summer. Granted many of us don’t have AC because we don’t usually need it, but it’s only for a few days.
There is usually a heat wave or two every summer like this (and I’ve lived here for a long time). I don’t think this weather is unusual, and most of the summer has been very pleasant. At least it’s not a constant 100° all summer.
Mcat2: Post again when the Bay area gets 110.6 inches of snow in six weeks (which is what we got in the Boston area in January and February this year). That’s when I’ll commiserate with your suffering 95-degree weather. BTW temperature forecast for the Boston area tomorrow (Monday) is 94 degrees.
I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 30 years (although I’m out of town now). We have a week or so of hot weather every year. Climate change is real, but a week of 95+ weather in the Bay Area is not an example of it.
