It is so hot in the south bay area in California!

The weather in California is supposedly better, not as hot as this. It is 95 degrees out there.

How long will we have such a terrible weather! It is almost as hot as Texas, except that many of us here in Ca do not have an AC while most people in Texas will stay inside a house with an AC. /Rant off.

South San Jose: 101 degrees now!

Just look it up, many cities in the NE have a better weather now (e.g., 78 in Boston., while those of us who pay the “sun tax” in California have to suffer in the 95-degree weather.)

… what climate change?

We are all just spoiled. Our weather is pretty perfect 90% of the year. This is definitely unusually hot for our area-we are having to experience what much of the rest of the country has to live with all summer. Granted many of us don’t have AC because we don’t usually need it, but it’s only for a few days.

Go to the shopping malls or ice rinks.

I bet the malls in this area must be packed with shoppers/non-shoppers now.

Go to Target, Walmart, Costco to pick up a stand fan.

Hmmm… I just realized we don’t have any ice rinks. Fortunately our pool is very refreshing right now.

30 years it was like that. San Jose was hotter than south cal area. It was 100 degrees. Yes what climate change is the right question?

North South heat exchange?

97 degrees in San Diego with no breeze, just danged hot!!!

It’s El Niño, means extreme whether.

At least in Calif it’s a dry heat.

Not in the coastal areas! Not as muggy as DC and Boston, but still humid.

Welcome to Seattle, Bay Area folks! This is what we had to deal with in July.

There is usually a heat wave or two every summer like this (and I’ve lived here for a long time). I don’t think this weather is unusual, and most of the summer has been very pleasant. At least it’s not a constant 100° all summer.

How can you complain about that? It is still 108 here in so cal after 5 PM

It’s 86 here. But my post should be weather and not whether, I was in a hurry to move my car for Costco gas.

110 average here in Arizona.

Mcat2: Post again when the Bay area gets 110.6 inches of snow in six weeks (which is what we got in the Boston area in January and February this year). That’s when I’ll commiserate with your suffering 95-degree weather. BTW temperature forecast for the Boston area tomorrow (Monday) is 94 degrees.

It cools down relatively fast here.
In the area we live, the temperature is down to 83. In south San Jose, it is down to 92. It is now 7:30 pm.

Is it humid in Boston area today and recently? DS is visiting there either day or tomorrow.

I’ve lived in the Bay Area for 30 years (although I’m out of town now). We have a week or so of hot weather every year. Climate change is real, but a week of 95+ weather in the Bay Area is not an example of it.
