It takes a village

My kid got plucked off a train NJ platform at after missing a late train due to a rehearsal that went later than expected in by CC a mom who lived nearby-ish and just got out of bed to get her tonight. Daughter is crashing on her couch instead of having to wait for a train that would not come through until close to 1 AM.

I’m thinking that’s pretty cool. It brings the community that we create here and puts it into something 3D. We should all sign the pledge to do the same. I will. I’m in the Northwest… Seattle to be specific but have car and can travel.

If I knew what the heck a hastage really was mine would say: #feelingrateful

I am in Ca…I would do the same!

Did I already post something like this before? Sorry if I did. Memory is failing me and my quick search says no but I think I did… sorry if that is true.

I would also, same territory as @halflokum. But I think I could get a close friend in Chicago to help out there in a total pinch. I would certainly ask.

Wonderful! I love that this happened. We live in the Philly area if anyone had a similar situation!

Not sure if anyone would be close to Kentucky, but always here to help if needed!

New Jersey, shore area, but willing to travel :)

Great story and shows the power of the connections made on CC!

There is a 7 year long ongoing thread of this sort on the Parent Forum:

I’m in Elon and UNCSA territory!! I have employed a village for all of the D’s life so I have no problem with being part of someone else’s village!!

I’m in Maine, 30 min. north of Portland. Summer theatre abounds here, and I’m happy to take a road trip to Boston.

*we are only an hour from CCM if that helps :)

CMU and PPU covered here!

Cleveland/Columbus: BW and Otterbein are only about an hour away

45 min to UofM in Ann Arbor.

In Austin, could walk to UT, 10 minutes from St. Ed’s and 45 minutes from Texas State (and sister-in-law lives in San Marcos).

I am in Hunterdon County NJ. I am quite close to Rutgers. Reasonably near Montclair. Can get to Drew in 30 minutes. GSOMTMom – nice to know someone is near UNCSA!

Yay a Drew support <3

When I have to send my son off alone because I’ve run out of vacation days, I’m going to remember all of you!

I’m in miami, so university of miami no problem, UCF and FSU, not so easy. And since we’re a plane ride away from anywhere else, I’m also going to remember all of you when my D moves forward and probably out do state :)

UArts and Temple - both about 20 minutes away, but I work only two minutes from UArts. Rider - 45 minutes. I work night shift so calls in the middle of the night won’t be an issue. :)
