thanks guess im not alone! i also applied late september…i talked to an admissions counselor who said due to sending in improved act scores, my application was reviewed a second time…i know i am borderline though…but i think between deferral and acceptance…not deferral and rejection since i cant help but think i would have been rejected already if my app was really that far off from what they are loooking for…yep i check everyday at 5 and i am really hoping to know this week…its my dream school and i can hardly stand waiting any longer.

are they gonna email me or do i have to check the thing everyday

lol just checked my status, got admitted…no email…i guess that answers my own question haha

Ok It’s Spartan time - Accepted Michigan State Today

Ds Status finally changed…not for the better unfortunately…he was accepted to Newark and stated not eligible for admission at Columbus. In state, 30 ACT, 81% GPA high school very selective, very competitive and does not rank, but told he is top half. Documented learning disabilities which he discussed in essay overcoming obstacles.

denied from columbus…didnt say anything about other branches? but im not really interested haha. best of luck to everyone else! (3.3 28 instate)

I am so freaking excited! “Evaluation” finally switched to “admitted” today!
Anyone with low stats, quit fretting so much because mine aren’t stellar.

I did write a really good essay (in my opinion) and had a lot to show on my resume (with extra curricular activities -unique volunteer hours and awards with xc/track), though.
I hope everyone gets in! By the way, I applied on November 26th (or 27th…not sure).

katherinereid

Looks like you were top 10%. Sure that helped, but a lot of folks with much higher stats have been rejected. That’s surprising.

caolila

Yeah, I know a kid last year who had a 4.0 and a 26 that got denied. Then again, he went to a ****ty private school where half the kids had 4.0s. My schedule throughout HS has been pretty hard, and I go to a public school.
I also think mentioning that I’ve been on campus a few times for a sports camp really helped.

still waitinggggg :(
