Its December 1st!

no there is a summer 2011 quarter that begins on the 20th of june, but if you get deferred then you hear back at the end of march

oh gotchaaa but i meant when would i hear if i am deferred

Thanks! Good luck to you!

foodgud and mbusa: mind posting your stats? im not sure if they are posted earlier in the thread, and i am a wee bit too lazy to check. i feel like i am also going to get deferred.

i think i will get deferred too. my SAT’s are the only thing not in their range … :frowning: and i know they are probably really picky with them

I have a 3.45 uw gpa , super competitive school ,ranked top 40% in class, 25 on the act ,1110 on the SAT ,excellent essay , anything else? no recs and instate

I talked to an admissions counsler yesterday and she said it is updates everyday and can take from 8-12 weeks, some people less and some people more. But she said to continue checking

don’t want to get deferred- it’s not likely to be offered admission after that, besides i thought oos applicants get rejected or accepted- only instate get deferred- anybody??

i really dont want to get deferred. OSU is my top school, i will be crushed if i dont get accepted.

I’d be devastated as well… I really wanna go here cause I know the school is perfect for me. By everyday did she also mean weekends?

My status turned to “accepted” today!!!

My application was officially under evaluation on December 4th, 2010. Whee! Too bad OSU is my safety school… then again, I probably won’t get into any of my other schools, and I like OSU. :D

Quick stats:
35 ACT / 2120 (single sitting) SAT
790 Math II, 770 Biology M, 750 Lit, 750 Chem
3.88 GPA UW, 4.5-something W (soon to go down due to crippling senioritis)
Lots of extracurriculars
Poopy public school
In-state
Asian Female

My daughter’s status changed to admitted late this afternoon. She applied on November 22nd. We are OOS. She has applied ED to another school so we will see how that turns out next week.

I hope you’re joking, Nerdlings. You have beyond Ivy stats. Go apply to a few Ivies and you’ll almost certainly get into at least one.

My extracurriculars aren’t that impressive, and I haven’t really done anything that would make people go “wow!”. Besides, it’s a running joke at my school that Ivy league admissions officers would see which high school I attend and immediately pitch my application into the fireplace. :P

my stats are 3.4 w, 25 act(oy taking again tommorow) lots of great ec’s, really good essay
i am in-state and i think i will be deferred at least im positive but like 40% of in0state people get admitted so im not that worried honestly…idk someone with better stats then me called the admissions today and said he’d know by the end of the month…he applied liek 4 months ago…so we’ll see!!! if you get deferred btw, hassle the admissions office!!! show how much you want to go to that schools

It doesn’t make sense that he applied Dec. 4 and already heard. I mean I know those are obviously acceptance stats, but if your going to make a deadline for this priority stuff atleast follow it.

i agree…its really not fair. i get that people have better stats but some people appled so long ago its not fait to keep them waiting especially since a good number of the people who have gotten in probably wont go there but the people waiting will!! it makes me uopset…oh well thats the college process for ya!!!

@naesken

First of all, I applied late October. My school finally sent out my transcript late November, and my application was complete December 4th. Secondly, I’m a girl.

Also, u mad bro?

Congrats Nerdlings :DD Good luck wherever you go.

@food I do agree with you because it seems like the people waiting are the ones that rate OSU their first choice. I applied in early September and still haven’t heard a thing back yet. I know that I’m not the only one who applied, they are busy, and I’m OOS but really… But hey no news is good news right? :)

Haha no I’m happy for you I just thought you meant you applied Dec. 4. Congrats though
