All good points, yet somewhat dismissive. I don’t think anyone here is looking for or expecting guaranteed outcomes.

Definitely dismissive but not a reply to your post. 
. Plenty want the sorority or admission or workshop or scholarship etc…. We don’t like our kids being disappointed. Kelley stats indicate it will work out positively in most cases with maybe bumps on the way.

Hey, by the way, and we may have been lucky here, but my 2 HS kid ended up getting a direct admit without the need for a formal petition. We tried to do the petition and the link/forms were not available, so we emailed Kelley and they eventually got back to us that my kid was a direct admit. I’m not certain about this, but I think our easier path may have been because his 2nd high school took the extra step of integrating all the 1st HS’s courses, grades and GPA into their transcript. So the second HS’s transcript showed every course and grade since freshman year.
Workshops do not necessarily equate to getting a job and they are a very small cohort. Getting a job for anyone at IU Kelley requires taking full advantage of career services and attending employer events and networking. These are no silver platters!

Sorry for the delayed response. I tried to get some first hand insight from an IB recruiter given I honestly don’t know and don’t want to guess.
So far I do know t have an answer and while we don’t recruit at Kelley I will try and get a real answer.

Do you guys think decisions will be released over spring break or no?
@AJChicago24 this group seems really tough! I thought they were waiting for petition releases but now they are debating the actual school/workshops. Dm me if you can. My daughter has already been admitted through the petition. We did the DA weekend. She’s still deciding on iu vs a well regarded school on the east coast.

Thanks. I was just looking for petition info. S24 waited till the last minute to send in his petition—of course. But did get it in “on time”. So sounds like we might be waiting till April 15.
We (foolishly) thought it was just a matter of getting a live person to see his information and getting in would be no problem since he met the cutoffs (except he went to 2 HS). It would be unfortunate if that proved to be incorrect.

The two most likely answers are a live person has not seen the app or (and this is the most likely) - that all decisions have been embargoed until their planned release date. Kelley hasn’t been tricking for a bit and when they release this close to date it amps up emails and calls.
If Kelley does not consider two schools as auto DA it should be able to answer that question at Admissions.

Thanks. In case it wasn’t clear, S24 was admitted before New Year’s, but wasn’t directly admitted to Kelley–we assume because he went to 2 High Schools (and the web site indicates that’s one reason an applicant might not be directly admitted).
So, he’s in to IU, but waiting to hear on Kelley.
Right so three possible answers:

Kelley does not consider auto admit because of multiple high schools. Ive never known this to be true. Could have shifted policy.

Petition has not yet been seen.

They are preparing for mass decision and embargoed all release until that date.

Do you have any idea when the waves of decisions are planning to be released? I heard March 15th is supposed to be a big day.
For the petition review??! Where did you hear that? Just curious. They said by April 15 when the petitions were submitted.
I have no inside information on a specific date only that it was supposed to be soon. They’d like to match the RD apps admits as much as possible with those who will be admitted into Kelley. I do not believe they will wait until Apr 15 unless there are significant logistical hurdles.
I heard through a previous admissions counselor. Apparently it is in waves but this could be wrong. Many of my friends have received acceptances this week, and many received the week of Feb 15th, and same with Jan 15th. So maybe be on a lookout to hear back this week.

I am an HS senior, and I applied to Kelley as a marketing major. I was deferred, wrote the essays, and submitted my grades for this semester. I find out if I get in for pre-business on Friday. If/when U get into IU for pre-business, is there still a chance that Kelley will look at my application and still be able to be directly admitted into Kelley? or will I only be stuck with pre-business? I wrote good essays. when I got deferred and got a 4.5w and 4.uw last semester to put my gpa at 3.7w 3.4uw test optional.
