I've Got To Know...What's On The Super Bowl Menu This Weekend?

When it comes to food, I’m nosy like that.

Planning a big or small Super Bowl party?

For me, it’s a good excuse to eat my favorite type of food - appetizers and dips!

SO hard to decide…must have chicken wings…gotta have the jalapeno popper dip…don’t forget the nachos!..something reuben also sounds good…7 layer bean dip? Sure!..

Share what you’re planning to have on your table. In the meantime, enjoy this:

Super Bowl is televised late night here in London. We’re headed to some friends’ house to watch and everyone is bringing their favorite American food. I’m making Buffalo Chicken Cheese Dip (gluten free for my friend) and Red Velvet Cake. Last year, there were hot dogs, pulled pork and plenty of Bud. We only watch until half-time and then head home, but there are a few folks who stay up for the whole thing and go to work late on Monday! I think this year will be crazy as our hosts are from NC.

I’m just watching for Beyonce. Doritos and a dip will do!

@abasket Have you ever tried Rueben Dip? Or Buffalo Chicken Dip? Both yummy. You could go with a dip only menu.

Do you have a favorite recipe for Reuben dip, doschicos?

This is the reuben dip I pinned recently but have not made before. I would alter it a bit (4 cups of cheese - YIKES!

A dip only menu would be right up my alley! However, my waistline says to consider ingredient choices at least!

Here’s the Rueben Dip I’ve made before, adjusting as I always do for my own ratios. I believe I skipped mayo and used more of the salad dressing. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/14865/reuben-dip/

Girl Scout Cookies! DD has her very last cookie booth Supper Bowl Sunday what she she doesn’t sell I’ll buy.

Pastrami with tater tots.

Trust me on this recipe.

I am thoroughly convinced that Super Bowl Sunday is not popular because of football. It’s popular because we have all been behaving ourselves since the end of December and we can’t take it anymore.

It’s Cheetos and Buffalo Chicken wings for me.

Pastrami wrapped tater tots! OMG count me in.

Lot of people make buffalo chicken but I make buffalo cauliflower in the oven.
I follow a Tasty feed on facebook that has recipes that would be good for the Superbowl.
Guacamole onion rings anyone?

Chicken wings, chili, snacks. It’ll just be DH and I, so we don’t want to go overboard.

@abasket do you have a recipe for jalapeno popper dip?!!

“Pastrami wrapped tater tots! OMG count me in.”

Red neck version of bacon-wrapped scallops? Meat and potatoes? Count me in, too!

I hate football but I am going to my sister’s party and I’ll bring scallop ceviche (based on Diana Kennedy’s recipe). Fresh and bright and healthy, and the flavors go well with the traditional Super Bowl snacks.

We’re not going to a party (at least not yet) so I haven’t thought about what to cook.

My D has requested nachos (chips with Monterey Jack melted on them) with homemade pineapple salsa

We’re heading to nola for Mardi gras during the super bowl. I’m making shrimp & corn soup and bread pudding (back to my diet on Monday).

Pizza, wings, salad, breadsticks, maybe brownies.
