Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship

DD email said to expect to give more information. Something along those lines.

I still havent heard back from them!! What should I do!

@awakeningvenus sorry that’s all I know. I have no idea what extra supplemental materials we would need to submit.

Just want to reiterate that I won last year and never received a semi-finalist notification. It’s my understanding that no new materials are requested, since… I didn’t do anything beyond the first application.

I was also notified that I was a semifinalist!

has anyone heard anything?

3/4/16 was deadline to upload your additional info (last semester grades / financial). Give them about 10 days.

I’m going to assume I didn’t get it because after the semi finalist email I never got anything about uploading additional info. @yalebound2020

@SpicyTaquito - Don’t jump the gun yet! Maybe you are SO qualified that they didn’t anything else from you? Stay positive.

@SpicyTaquito I never received notification requesting additional info either.

Did anyone recieve two emails notifying you that you were selected? I received one on Feb 8 and another one on Feb 12 (when most found out).

@collegequest9844 - I received one, my mom received another one.

We just received the one. Wish we could have uploaded more information. So much has happened. Oh well, decisions come out when?

@Hope2achieve - letter says late march?

Thanks @yalebound2020 We will have all decisions in the day before we leave for spring break. So it will either be a great trip or depressing. Good luck to you!

I’m a semifinalist, but I wasn’t asked for additional information. I don’t understand why they would ask some and not others, unless they already have some idea of who they’re selecting. I probably didn’t get it.

Has anyone called to ask when decisions are being released? I know late March, but that’s it.

Last year it was March 25.

The most common additional information they ask for is for financial information. When the application is being reviewed, if they don’t have enough info they will ask you about your financial status. I am applying for the undergraduate transfer scholarship and they asked me to provide details about my 2014 income.

When I called and talked with them, they said that ā€œThere is about 400 semifinalists and there will be another elimination process before the finalists are selected in the beginning of April.ā€

If you haven’t received any emails as of now, check you spam because most of my friend’s semifinalist email went to their spam folder.

I was selected as a semi-finalist, and they have asked me twice about addition info. The first time, they asked for tax returns and report card. Then today, they asked for the colleges I’ve been accepted to and the associated financial aid package. Is this a good sign?

They told me this additional info is due March 25th, so I expect them to give decisions after that. Possibly the 30th?
