If everyone isnā€™t already following Dr. Tim Miller at JMU on Instagram and FB, Iā€™d suggest you do. Heā€™s the VP of Student Affairs, and heā€™s pretty amazing. He is everywhere on campus. He posts when heā€™ll be in the dining halls for lunch so students can sign up to sit with him. He follows the FB pages and responds at all hours to offer help. He shows up to student org events all the time. JMU is lucky to have him.

Additionally, if your child eventually chooses to attend JMU I highly recommend you attend one of the JMU First Year Send Offs that should happen over the summer, somewhere near you.

I see the post youā€™re talking about. They said theyā€™re an alumni and have a friend in the admissions council. Iā€™m not sure how true it is, but makes me feel better lol

January 23 is a Tuesday, which does align with the Tuesday/Thursday release dates of the last few years, but until there is confirmation from someone in the Office of Admissions, itā€™s still just a guess in my opinion.

I also think that they will start updating their IG 24 hours before. In the past they have sent out messages reminding students to make sure they have their credentials ready etc. so, it seems like if we havenā€™t seen that yet, itā€™s likely not this week. So 1/23 makes sense.

Iā€™m glad someone answeredā€“arenā€™t they closed for snow again today? My daughter is wearing her JMU sweatshirt. I hope she doesnā€™t plan on wearing it till she hearsā€¦ :grimacing:

They have classes today and are open. On the Facebook post I read said they received over 50,000 applicants for ED. Now, that could also be a rumor.
