DD accepted OOS! Biophysical chemistry.
in state. psychology
DS accepted OOS. Does anyone know if JMU offers merit for OOS? I have not seen many threads on OOS receiving merit in the past. If so, would it come with the acceptance notice?
Accepted in state - Health Services Administration
It would come separately. VA publics are notoriously stingy with merit aid, in state and OOS. They used to have a statistic that only 5% of students got merit aid, but I donât know if thatâs still true.
That being said my S19 was asked by his dept head if he would accept the Madison award the end of March. He did not apply for, nor was he in the honors college either.
I know they typically are not known to give much merit. But their price tag is lower than many schools so even without merit the cost of attending is reasonable.
My student was admitted but no mention/confirmation of major or program she was admitted into. This is the first acceptance that doesnât confirm that. Anyone else?
Accepted in state! Biology.
Same for my DS business OOS and 3.5 gpa
I noticed that, as well. I have no idea which major my DC chose since they had 3-4 different ones depending upon the school. I guess weâll have to go back to the CA and check.
Same here but my son applied âExploratoryâ so Iâm thinking maybe thatâs why.
Mine didnât apply exploratory so Iâm curious about this.
Ours doesnât list the major either.
Acceptance letter says Financial Aid & Scholarship offers will be available by the end of February
Son accepted. In state, 4.0 UW, 11 AP, 3 DE, 1510 SAT. Business major.
JMU doesnât admit by major, though some fine art majors require recitals and portfolios, but those are very narrow admissions pathways.
Same. DSâ program is usually in arts & letters or something like that but they did not mention major or college in the letter.
I donât think so. I find it as well when I do a google search.
Accepted instate!!
They donât accept by major. Once you accept and go through the One Book, somehow your choice of major comes up or you re-choose. I canât remember what my daughter (current duke) did but it mapped to what she applied for.
Admitted OOS, but I donât see any merit (which surprises me). Has anyone gotten any merit in their letter?
