I would throw everything i have at the recruiter assigned to your Hs. Tell him/her it’s his first choice, share good midterm grades, share any job or volunteering updates. Tell him/her what you loved about your visits etc. Best of luck!

Still waiting for my child to tell me. Has anyone seen any rejections? Coworkers child was deferred.
I believe they don’t do rejections at EA but could be wrong.
Their website indicates they will if someone really won’t meet the admit threshold. Rather than let someone keep waiting, they will decline if it’s not going to be a real consideration in RD round.

The deferral letters stated that 25% were pushed to regular decision. No rejections would mean that 75% of EA applicants were accepted, which seems high.
My daughter was deferred and it is her top choice. According to the letter, she will receive final decision by early April. I was looking at the Choices dates and the last dates are in April. Does that mean RD applicants are unable to attend if they are accepted in April? I understand that she cannot attend until (and if) she is accepted but the last dates are early April. Any advice for RD acceptance is appreciated. I think I am taking this harder than she did!

Any update?
He figured out how to log in and looked before I got home! I walked in the door and he greeted me with “I got in the JMU!”
I guess when he wants it badly enough and I’m not there to do it for him, he figures it out…. (Hrmm, good life lesson there I think!
)
He was at track practice and I know some of his teammates had applied to JMU, so I’m guessing there was some motivation to figure it out and do it.
We’ll see about today…. His super reach is releasing today at 4:00. It’s extremely unlikely that he’ll get in. I wish he’d wait and look at home, but he said he thinks he’d be less disappointed if he got his results while with his teammates.

S25 admitted! OOS, 3.4gpa, 1270 SAT (Submitted). Applied for Industrial Design (this required a portfolio, additional essay, and portfolio review with one of the professors via zoom). Letter does not mention major, and if I recall, he first had to be admitted to the university and then will need to be artistically admitted for the School of Art and Design. Not sure when he will hear about that. The feedback from the portfolio review was quite positive, so I am hopeful.
None of us have ever stepped foot on campus, so we will sign up for a Choices day and see what he thinks. Off to do more research!

I also just got an email that I was admitted to JMU Honors College! I heard decisions for honors didn’t come out until a week after general admission so I guess they made their decisions earlier this year.
