<p>Dumb dumb me didn’t get them when avail for Sat in May at Hollywood Bowl. Just bought 2 for the added Thurs with AMEX presale. Husband was all oh I don’t know if the seats are good when I didn’t get for Sat months ago. Jumped at the chance when I got AMEX email today. The preferred $85 & $150 were already gone. Best avail was already section M but I DON"T CARE!!! 2 tx=122.20 </p>

<p>I checked, the cheap seat tickets I didn’t get last year are now selling for >$100 each. I suppose I can sell the ones I just bought for at least my cost.</p>

<p>When I saw James Taylor last summer it was in a beautiful outdoor venue on a beautiful September night. It was a fantastic show. But, boy, it was WAY less expensive than the prices I’m seeing this thread. Egads.</p>
<p>This new tour seems to be hitting the bigger cities, though, so maybe it’s that, along with the duet aspect with Carole King.</p>
<p>I never did care for Carole King, so I’m glad I got to see him last year with his own band. I saw him and CK on Letterman the other night. It reinforced my gratitude for having seen him in his own touring show.</p>
<p>But if I hadn’t seen him recently already, I’d put up with Carole King just to see him. He was SOOO good in concert. He still has a beautiful voice and great stage energy.</p>
<p>So excited - I just got my H and I tickets for the May 7 Portland concert! We saw him when he was in town about a year and a half ago, and he was terrific. We love Carole King too, so this should be a great show.</p>
<p>Yay, so excited!! My mother is treating husband and me for our anniversary. First time we’ve ever seen James in concert, although we always catch his brother Livingston when he has a gig at a fair or town concert series. Carole King has always been a favorite of mine too.</p>
<p>the full page ad in the NYTimes yesterday said that more dates and venues “to be announced”…hoping for some smaller ones…</p>
<p>The one in Portland is supposed to be a smaller setting, in the round. I didn’t buy the most expensive seats, and not the cheapest ones either. Hopefully we’ll be able to see well. It looked from the seating chart that it’ll be great.</p>

<p>I just text my son that he could use AMEX and get tickets if he wanted at Hollywood bowl. Haven’t heard back.guess he isn’t a fan.
My bother & I saw JT at Greek a million years ago, when I had great season tickets. Brother became a fan.</p>
<p>Back when tickets originally went on sale, I had to pass because the CK/JT concert date in our area was on the day following D2’s graduation (which could become the day of her commencement in the event of bad weather). Well, yesterday I got word that they are adding additional dates in 16 cities, including ours, the new date works out fine, and I just bought a couple of terrific, if pricey, tickets this morning. I can’t wait to go to this concert!</p>
<p>Hmmm the only venue that looks like it might be more intimate is in Sun Valley Idaho. I can’t imagine seeing this concert in an arena or huge venue. I’d love to see this concert in a smaller setting. Tanglewood wouldn’t be a bad setting either. Tapestry was my very first album purchase. I was at a fine arts camp that summer and my cabin-mate brought it and we played it over and over and over that summer. When I’m home alone I still pound out the songs on the piano and sing at the top of my lungs until the dog starts barking.</p>

<p>Just got notified that my seats at Madison Square Garden are Floor 8, Row B, and if the chart on the tour website is accurate, they look great! Many thanks to the OP on this thread, whose post motivated me to register for notices about the tour, which in turn led to my ability to quickly snap up tickets when the additional NYC date was announced. I had been put off by the prices and venue size at first, but decided this was an opportunity I didn’t want to miss, so I was raring to go as soon as I heard about the added date. I’ll be seeing the show with a friend I’ve known for more than 30 years–and we plan to pretend that both of us, plus Carole and James, look exactly the same as we did back then!</p>
<p>just was invited to go to this concert in Ft Lauderdale on June 5th…so excited, it’s fun to see how many like minds there are on cc.</p>

<p>I bought tickets for my husband for his birthday. He had mentioned a while ago that he would really love to see them (he had seen JT in concert over 30 years ago) but the tickets were too expensive. So we are going! Can’t wait!</p>
<p>Hollywood Bowl this week. :). Learned my lesson when I waited too long for first date. Bought as soon as Amex made available for added date. Hope it doesn’t get too cold at night. I’m used to summer nights at bowl.</p>
<p>Looks like tour starts tomorrow in Seattle. I just tried on my summer tour '83 t shirt. I think h would enjoy teasing me too much if I wear it. I don’t care for design of shirts on web. Perhaps I’ll buy something from the outside vendors.
Getting excited, not certain if we can arrive early enough for dinner where we park at Hollywood highland or just pack picnic and drinks. I love Hollywood bowl.</p>
