happy belated bday jason :D

Hi, i was hoping you guys could review my schedule for me
Currently my schedule is:
13010 ENGR 1 SEM A 1.0 (Beginning engineering seminar for exploring which field you want to go in)
19010 ENGRMAE 10 LEC A 4.0
19013 ENGRMAE 10 DIS 3 0.0
40000 CHEM 1A LEC A 4.0
40012 CHEM 1A DIS A12 0.0

47183 PHYSICS 7LA LAB 13 1.0
60020 ANTHRO 2A LEC B 4.0
60027 ANTHRO 2A DIS 7 0.0
Btw i’m a mechanical engineering major and Im considering transfering so i kinda need a higher GPA (shooting for 3.5+)
Does everything look alright? Or is my schedule too easy/hard. I kinda want to slack (yeaaa i know its bad) a little this semester haha. Thanks for all who help!

Ummm UCI is on a quarter system… so 18 units is actually more on the non-slacking side… “Average” is 15units/quarter (22.5units/semester if you’re on that system). Errr by average I mean, what they want you to take, not what everybody usually takes. I think it’s common for people to take more than 15.

The average for an engineering major used to be 17 units a quarter, but they started taking out some reqs to take you down to hopefully 16 units a quarter now.

Anyway, if you want to shoot for a 3.5+ (i’m in this range btw), I’d advise you take out Anthro 2A UNLESS it is with Dr. Douglas. Stick with 14 units first quarter. After that, go up all you want, trust me. Unless you are e-mazing.

jason you are EE-mazing

anyways yeah slack the first quarter fosho.

then go nuts after

I have coffman, i checked on ratemyprof.com and the easiness level was pretty high. Have any of you guys heard of him/her? I’m just kind of afraid I can’t satisfy my GE requirements before i graduate

nevermind, solved

can u guys review my schedule for me too? im kinda nervous because it seems like its SO much already…

That’s a perfect load for an incoming engineering freshman. But, why are you not taking math?

-shrug- counselor said to take it winter quarter
i wanted to take it in the fall but oh well…

How does my schedule look?

I’ll be an incoming aerospace engineering major.

19010 ENGRMAE 10 LEC A 4.0 GR

I’m kind of worried since it’s only 13 units.

Hey guys, can you review my schedule too?

Im a business econ major and my schedule currently looks like:

Do-able? The advisers recommend 12…but ionno.

Do Pass/No Pass classes affect your GPA in any way?

hey, so should i be applying on the zotlink career center or is it better summitted in person?

can you recommend any good ones?
a job for someone that can even write me recommendation someday, or just one easy way to make $ between classes…so laid back it is basically like gettting paid to do your own HW?

Has anyone taken ICS 139w ? What is it ?

Also, is there a lap swimming pool anywhere in uci ?

Griffin0991:
That’s pretty much the usual starting schedule for any engineer that has to take programming.

KingA:
Advisors do recommend 12 in case you need time to transition into the college life. Your schedule is filled with pretty easy courses so you don’t need to worry at all. You’ll have a lot of free time with that schedule.

Stegggi:
Pass/No Pass classes do NOT affect your GPA in any way.

College=clueless
Sorry, I don’t have much knowledge in the working sector. From what I’ve seen, only people who work as secretaries or front desk workers have time to study during work. In terms of recommendations, the only good ones would be from professors which you would need to earn by getting a good grade or helping them in research.

Crazykumar:
I know nothing about ICS 139w. The name hints it is an upper division writing class. There’s a pool at the ARC. I remember seeing lanes there. I don’t know how long it is or if it’s a standard size though…

HUMAN 1A LEC T/Th 09:30-10:20
HUMAN 1A DIS T/Th 02:00-03:20
HUMAN 1A SEM F 11:00-11:50
SPANISH 1C LEC MTWThF 08:00-08:50
ECON 1 LEC M W 05:00-06:20pm
ECON 1 DIS W 10:00-10-50

17 units total. If I were to drop anything it would be Econ. Apparantly the Hum. Core is a ***** so would you reccomend dropping Econ? They reccomended 12-13 units first quarter and than bumping it up to 16-17 winter quarter.

try for 2 weeks if you want, you can drop then.

UCI has facilities in keeping with its aquatics tradition of Olympians and All-Americans. (This weekend, the four former anteaters on the U.S. Olympic men’s water polo team are going for gold .)

You can swim laps at the ARC aquatics plaza (Olympic regulation pool) year-round 6:30am-8pm weekdays and 8:30am-8pm weekends. Or, if you want a coached program, the Masters Workout Times at Crawford Pool (a state of the art facility) are Monday through Friday 5:45 to 7:30am, 11:45 to 1:00pm, and 6:00 to 7:30pm. Saturday 7:30 to 9:00am. $20 per month $55 per quarter $190 per year for UCI students. [UC Irvine - Facilities](http://ucirvinesports.cstv.com/facilities/aquatics.html)

There are also large recreational pools in student housing at VDC and VDCN, water polo clubs, and lessons for beginning and intermediate swimmers.

I’m just wondering, is it necessary to bring your own printer? where do most people print their stuff?

thanks :)
