hey i had a question.
so on the first day of class, i have a lab and discussion that day. however my lectures for those classes hasnt started yet and they arent on those days. do i still have to go to my discussion and lab that day?

lab? you should right? (i’m not sure about this)

discussion no.

Is it stated anywhere that we don’t have to attend the discussion? I have discussion that day aswell.

Hi, I’m going into my first year as a biological sciences major. I hope you don’t mind me asking for your opinion on my schedule:

BIO SCI SEMINAR 2A 1.0
BIO SCI 93 (lec/dis) 4.0
CHEM 1P (lec/dis) 4.0
HUMCORE 1A (lec/dis) 8.0
(All lectures are on MWF, discussions on tuesday, thursday = free)

total: 17 units

I’ll admit, I am pretty nervous about it all. I’ve heard positive and negative things about HUMCORE, the negatives being the workload and the positives being that it knocks out a hefty amount of breadth requirements (which is kind of why I like the idea of keeping it). I really need to keep bio and chem for the sake of staying on track with bio sci, since I’m going to try to pursue the pharmaceutical science major.

With that said, I’m dorming at Mesa, I’m definitely NOT going overboard on joining any extra-curriculars this first year nor do I plan on working any jobs yet, and I’d say I’m good about getting my school work done. So, should I stick with HUMCORE, or maybe switch to another breadth course and wait to get Writing 39B done later on?

Thanks for the help!

My question is like chickenboi8008’s:

So normally on Thursdays, I have a Hum Lecture & Discussion, and the following day a Hum Sem and a different class’s Discussion. Would I go to all the Hum and not the other class?

how hard is it to get into UCI when applying with an ICS major? straight out of high school btw.

do you guys walking from MSTB 124(math) to RH 211(chem lab) in 5~7 minute is possible??
i have back to back class…

mstb to rh is less than 3 minutes.

back to back classes are usually never a problem.

even mstb to HH can be done.

thanks~~~~~~~~~~

im confused about when winter break is… cuz on the academic calender it only says xmas holiday wed-thur. (24-25) and new yrs holiday wed-thurs (31-1) so… is the break only these days or ??

its after finals and right before orientation
we have like 3 weeks

Hey, for math2a, do we pick the teachers or do the teachers pick us?

u always pick ur teachers…
unless theres only one

math 2a it’ll say staff because they don’t want to tell you who your teacher is.

later on itll change if it didn’t already.

dont think ICS is that hard to get into… i transferred over from environmental engineer after getting accepted…

bombatwist: ICS should be an impacted major which means it’ll be harder to get into over other majors.

pandaxl0: Because you were already accepted as an engineer, ICS was on the same level so they allowed you to do the switch.

ooo ic lol ><

Yikes bad grammar on the last post :x.

im considering buying all the used textbook for next year…however do you have any particular textbook that might be much better to use new one??
im taking math2a,physics7a,chem1a,and writing 39a

Hey, do you guys do work-study? Does it take away lots of studying time?
