For the laundry machines in Mesa, is it done by coin slots, or do we use a swipe-card system thing?

do textbooks run out if we wait until the welcome week??

I always have three quarters for a dollar bill if anyone needs them in a hurry…

Is there any kind of parent weekend?

How and when do students register for ARC classes?

Why do you guys think UCI has the highest % of asian ethnicity?

it’s close to little saigon

it’s a UC

it’s known as a decent bio/premed school

Do you know whats the difficulty level of a joint major of computer engineering & computer science VS. just a computer engineering Major by itself??
Please I really need to know this
Thanks :)

Asians tend to dominate the UC system because of the huge Asian population throughout California. UCI is especially Asian mostly because of its location – Orange County.

There is no such thing as a computer engineering and computer science major. There is computer science AND engineering. This is basically majoring in computer science with extra classes that give the major an “engineering” title. These classes include completing the calculus series and classical physics series like most engineers do. In addition, some upper-division engineering courses from the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and a senior design project is required.

hey jas0n, what are some job opportunities for an electrical engineer major?
and do u think its cool if i bring a desktop and a laptop or is that too much?

akashanksta:

There are many job opportunities for electrical engineers. There is networking, circuits, programming, computers, RF, systems and signal processing, solid-state devices, semiconductors, etc. The list goes on.

desktop and laptop is the way to go.

i did that, and im glad i did.

aite sweet cuz some ppl were like dont take ure system cuz its a custom built and it has a lot of leds and stuff so its a beauty, but besides that its got a lot of technology in it so theirs a price tag with it. everyone is like dont get jacked so i guess i have to be careful

jas0n what do u plan on going into, as in what job do u want to do? cuz im still debating since i want to work with computer hardware related stuff and if computer engineering is a better major?

do textbooks run out if we wait until the welcome week??

Yea I’m Wondering the Same thing on dnduswo’s question.
And I’ve tried to reserve books online at the ucibookstore but there wasn’t an option to reserve just ground shipping and expedient shipping.
Am I too late to reserve?

I think the reserve deadline was on sept 12.

I brought my desktop and laptop. My desktop is custom built too, but it’s not flashy at all. Desktops are quite heavy so you don’t have to worry as much. Make sure your roommate takes care of that door. Other than that, only dormmates are allowed in your dorm. If someone in the dorm jacks it…you might be able to find it…

I’ll get back to you on that engineering deal.

dnduswo:

There is a high possibility there will be enough textbooks when you come for welcome week. If you’re taking a not so popular class, the chances get lowered.

To Jas0n or ShoeFactory

I took a class summer session 2 and I recieved a I for incomplete when I went to check on EEE. The class is Soc Sci 89 and it is P/NP as its only option for grades. I completed every assignment, took the final with everyone else and never missed a day of class.

How/Why did I get an Incomplete when I all my friends got their credits ?!?!?!

^^ Email your TA or Dr. Castellanos
lol There’s no reason that you shouldn’t have passed that class because it was so ridiculously easy and stupid.
