Java JDK

I’m on vacation and I would like to put the JDK on the laptop I have with me, but something isn’t letting me download it directly from the java site. Could someone please email me the Java JDK 5.0? Thanks a bunch.

Where are you on vacation?

In the middle east. Can you help?

Dude… the J2SE download is like 100+ MB if I remember correctly. I doubt anybody can email you. Call a friend at home, get them to download it and burn it to a CD and mail it…

Where in the middle east? Dubai?

I’ve always wanted to go to Dubai.

I just want the 5.0 JDK, which is less than 50 MB. If that’s too much, the online installation exe file is a few hundred KB.

Can anybody help?

Hey. . .

You didn’t answer my question.

No not Dubai.

Can you help me?

Then where?

It’s killing meeeee!

No, I can’t.

If you put a link to the download on their site I could download and try to send it to you. I’m also wondering if maybe a pop-up blocker may be preventing you from downloading, I know that happens quite often.

edit: it seems like you need to register an account to download? :S

No, you don’t need an account to download.

Here’s the link:https://sdlc2d.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=DBF891235CBC41373A20D8FC2DC23D9F</a></p>

If that doesn’t work, go to <a href=“Oracle Java Technologies | Oracle”>Oracle Java Technologies | Oracle; and click on the second download button.

If you want to help, PM me for my email address.

I would like either of the windows installation files, preferrably the smaller one.

Thanks a bunch.

google it. i’m pretty sure you might find it somewhere like sourceforge or download.com

I’ve already tried that. All of them give me links that return to the sun site, which isn’t working for me.

try these links
<a href=“Oracle Java Technologies | Oracle”>Oracle Java Technologies | Oracle;
<a href=“Oracle United Kingdom | Cloud Applications and Cloud Platform”>Oracle United Kingdom | Cloud Applications and Cloud Platform;

those sites are both sun.com, which I’ve already explained don’t work for me!

Okay, I’m downloading it right now. It’s J2SE™ Development Kit 5.0 Update 7 and offline installation, right? It’s about 63 MB.

Yup that’s the one. Thanks a bunch! I’ll pm you my email.

I’m trying to send it right now. The file’s a little too big and the email isn’t cooperating. There might be a limit to what I can send. Do you think I could try getting the online install, which is smaller, or I could sent it through AIM?

nvm, I think I’ll just host it on rapidshare and send a link.
