Jefferson Scholars Program - Does everyone get an interview?

I just got a notification today about getting an interview (I’m in the Atlanta area). My question is, does everyone get an interview? If not, about how many out of the original applicant pool do? Thanks!

Each area is different. No, not everyone in every region gets interviewed. Can’t tell you about the applicant pool in your area. Some areas have large ones with many rounds, some have smaller ones.

i also got a notification about an interview. I am in the northern virginia area and I have heard mixed things about how many people are called back for interviews. The best answer: not everyone gets an interview, but more are interviewed in some areas. For instance, I will be interviewed the 9th and then again on the 30th if they like me enough. After the 30th, the NoVa region will know who it is submitting to the final round. I think the final round overall sees about 100-125 kids.

Yeah, odds are long everywhere. Don’t count on getting it, but try to enjoy the experience. It’s an honor just to be nominated.

How do we qualify for a Jefferson scholarship? Are there any deadlines or can people who are still applying be considered?

Did anyone in Fairfield County get their interview request yet?
