I read that somewhere too. It gives me hope.

That’s not looks. That’s grooming.
I’ll disagree on that one.
If you interview someone disheveled and don’t pick them - dress shirt was hanging out of the pants and belly showing….or comes in a t shirt - or has bad breath.
You’re naturally going to rule against them.
That’s not grooming because you take someone who presents themselves as more polished, put together, professional, etc.
But it depends on the job - I don’t work in a hip club or surf shop or give canoe tours.
I agree; it depends on the job. I was assuming a corporate-type job where the person being interviewed might deal with other employees and perhaps even customers.
Even if true, and leaving aside whether that’s the way it should be: Not at the initial application and recommendation phase.

“After months of defying our subpoena, Ghislaine Maxwell finally appeared before the oversight committee and said nothing,” said Garcia, a California Democrat. “She answered no questions and provided no information about the men who raped and trafficked women and girls. “Who is she protecting?”
A lot happening in the UK related to this. It appears that both Peter Mandelson and Andrew Windsor shared inside information that Epstein profited from. Signs pointing towards criminal charges?
Her appeal rights.
She wants clemency, in exchange for telling the “truth.” That should be a huge, resounding no.
She’s smart. What does she have to gain otherwise ? We all know she’s scum but from her pov it’s smart.
I heard him recently referred to as “the Andrew formerly known as prince” and it makes me inwardly giggle each time I think about it.
But more seriously, if Charles really is willing to let his brother not be above the law despite his family, much respect to the king. As we’ve seen all too well on this side of the Atlantic, that’s a level of integrity that you miss when it’s not there.
I said it 3 months ago, and I doubt I was first; I’m not that creative. ![]()
This really seems like a good occasion for the producers of The Crown to crank up a new season!! I’d love to see what the men in grey are whispering to Charles and William right now.
I do wonder whether “integrity” is what we’re seeing, or is this all-out desperation to save the monarchy? The pedophile-sex-debauchery stuff is very very bad of course, but Andrew sharing trade info is probably the straw that broke the king’s back.
Agree. The whispers around sexual misconduct are/were bad, but the public’s willingness to subsidize and pay for the Royal Family’s lifestyle is partly predicated on the belief that they are a net economic benefit for the UK. And not just tourism/fandom. But their ability to attract investment and economic development.
Once the cracks in that model start to show, questions get asked– “What are they really costing us?”.
I mean, at some level I think I don’t care?
Justice is justice, whatever its motivation.
It sounds like some of the redacted names actually do belong to survivors/victims, and that some of those survivors became accomplices as adults. Which I’m sure was intentional on Epstein’s part because it bought their silence and fear.
Why doesn’t the DOJ offer immunity to any survivor-turned-accomplice?
Ro Khanna went today and read 6 names on the House floor.
Salvatore Nuara, Zurab Mikeladze, Leonic Leonov, Nicola Caputo, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem and Les Wexner(Victoria Secret old CEO)
I hope more come out.
Chappell Roan is leaving her label Casey Wasserman after his name is in the files.
Burn the whole thing down.
