I’m not getting tired of watching him. We are longtime Jeopardy watchers and I think his talents are great fun to watch. I hope he keeps on going for a long while!
We still enjoy watching James too.
I don’t regularly tune in to Jeopardy, but now that James is winning I try to watch every day.
We aren’t getting to see the show tonight due to continual local coverage of bad weather in Va this evening. Tornado.
“Some people just want to punish success I guess.”
Similar to hating Harvard, or Apple, or the New England Patriots. Most people like to see success, but some people don’t like to see too much success.
He’s a student of low culture like spongebob. lol.
I like spongebob too.
@Scipio New Englanders love seeing the hate for the Patriots from the rest of the country! It is a great motivator.
Back in the day when Ken Jennings answered questions correctly about mixed drinks and Alex Trebek wondered how someone who was LDS knew so much about alcohol. That was priceless.
The mighty have fallen eventually and James Holzhauer will some day. And that episode will get the greatest ratings ever.
There’s a spoiler posted by CNN …
I got that one right by just guessing. I didn’t understand the first part of the question, but cartoon? marine? = Spongebob (and I’ve probably seen Spongebob about 3 times). I’m much more impressed with all the Pop Culture, song lyrics, space stuff he knows. And rivers. He knows a lot of rivers.
I was pretty bored when Ken Jennings was on, but I’m not with James. After Ken lost I was watching and my daughter asked “Hey, where’s Ken?” She thought he was always on the show.
Some challengers tonight
@itsgettingreal17 I go on to Daily Mail, husband heard something on the radio and sons twitter. We watch every night when we’re home, like the element of surprise and watched for years before this excitement.
I was surprised by the spoilers I saw earlier today.
Wowsa
Yep. Watched the leaked video earlier today.
It was all over social media late yesterday. I guess whomever leaked it waited until the last minute, knowing that it would be today’s episode.
It was a strange game for him, I thought. To be honest, I’m sorry to see him go but look forward to him returning for tournament play. It will be interesting to see how Emma does going forward.
Did he lose? You can PM me…so as not to spoil this for those who want to watch!
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Normally, I would caution on spoilers, and would still prefer if the nitty gritty details were held off for a couple of hours for West Coast viewers, but the spoilers have been everywhere today from Reddit to NYT.
Agree @alwaysamom , He seemed off and not as quick on the buzzer. I thought it was interesting that he went out against someone who seemed equally into practicing on the buzzer, being very into Jeopardy . I do wonder if the producers wised up with picking contestants who could actually be competitive against him (of course, I am probably off base about any of that speculation). Getting the daily doubles certainly helped . As expected, in the end, he was beaten at his own game!
Any thoughts on why he chose that bet for final jeopardy?
