Jeremy Iversen

Has anyone heard of Jeremy Iversen, a Stanford grad who wrote a book about the lives of high school students in a southern California high school?
The book is a load of bs, and is called “high school confidential”

Basically, the administration was stupid enough to let this guy stay at the high school for a year or so and live amongst the students. He exaggerated what he saw by depicting high school students as people who had sex, partied, got drunk, did drugs, didn’t care at all about academics…etc. Because of him, the school’s principal and school district’s superintendent were fired soon after the media found out.

He probably just exaggerated everything for shock value

How about this one, it’s not as bad, and somewhat honest, but I can’t decide, personally, if I like it or not.

Yea, its just that he went to MY high school, like 4 years ago. Some of my friends’ older siblings knew him. Or, knew OF him. I just thought it was pretty weird.

Wes, no one reads books these days.

What does it mean by going undercover? Did he go in as a journalist or a student?

As a student. But from what I’ve heard, he was obviously older, so everyone thought he was a narc, and fed him bs stories, which he used to write his book.

In this link, several guys (some who went to my school, where Jeremy was at) talk about him. It’s pretty interesting.
