<p>I graduate in less than two weeks, and I just found out that despite the fact that I have a weighted 3.9474, my school decided to round down and gave me a 3.94, taking me out of Magna Cum Laude range. I have worked my ass off at this ****ty school for four years and have taken a ton of AP and Honors classes, and I am so furious that they are screwing me over now when I deserve Magna. People get colored tassels based what their rank is, and since I’m not going to get a Magna one I want to do something really obnoxious to my hat and just not wear a tassel. Maybe do a prank too since the administration made each year progressively worse. Any ideas?</p>

<p>Yeah I would complain. Talk to your teachers and counselors to see if they can help. Get your parents involved as well (here’s a secret: administration, staff are always scared of parents)</p>
<p>I think you get more recognition than just a tassel. I’m the first person to graduate, so I don’t really know, but regardless it’s not fair to put me in the same class as people with a whole point below me who could have never taken an AP or Honors class in their life. I already talked to my counselor and my mom emailed and called the school, but so far no one has responded and they’re likely going to say that they won’t round. My mom can be really scary, but the administration is composed of a bunch of *******.</p>

<p>Get a math teacher involved. For two significant figures the correct way to round 3.9474 is to 3.95.</p>
