graaaah
I’m really anxious, which is silly. But true. I’m EC (I don’t know if people use this for East Coast but we do now! :-P) too so, yep, the end of the week. You can probably call and ask but I don’t really want to find out bad news over the phone.

When people start finding out, could they post results/stats? So I can compare myself anxiously for the remaining days? Haha

If I’m west coast (WA), when do you think I’d get it? Tomorrow maybe even? Bah I want to know so badly! I’m just hoping and wishing I’m at least a finalist.

I’m really nervous too! I just called and the lady said they were mailed out today (…really??) so they’ll arrive by the end of this week/beginning of next week. I asked her if she could tell me over the phone and she laughed at me. Oh well, worth a try. ;)

If you live in the Los Angeles area you will probably get it today (if they mailed them on the 8th). Other parts of CA (San Diego, NorCal), usually get them the day after the LA area people.
This is based on my daughter’s experience in getting mail from them last year.

This might be a stupid question, but is the JES scholarship the same thing as the Scripps College Scholarship? I sent in my app through commonapp by Nov 1 and I marked the box that said “I am applying for Academic Scholarships.”

Anyway, I just got a letter in the mail saying I’m a finalist for the college scholarship!!! (i live in norcal) I’m so so so happy i wish you guys the best of luck!

Thank you so much and congratulations on your daughter getting a “likely” decision.

Did your daughter’s letter specify that it was the “JES” program? My letter says “you’ve been named a finalist in the Scripps College Scholarship competition” but doesn’t mention the specific scholarship.

You’re not the only one not breathing gracieloos. There was a big envelope in our mailbox today, and I got hopeful that somehow, magically, the Scripps info had gotten to the EC in just a day. Turns out it was something else nice, but…

haha… the letter actually came in a small (regular sized, not thick) envelope. There is only one sheet which says “congratulations etc.” then talks about this weekend orientation thing.

Yep, I got mine today too (Bay Area, CA) :D. Hooray, I’m a finalist! I’m excited for the weekend, it should be fun. If you’re curious about my stats, check out my other threads. Heh.

Congratulations, guys; I’m excited to meet everyone! And to those who are still waiting, best of luck :)
