Jewelry

How much jewelry do you think is too much? Sometimes when I wear earrings and a necklace I feel like I’m overdoing it.

depends on the girl. it has to mesh with your “style”

It depends on the outfit really…If you’re wearing a strapless dress…indie like…then you do not need a necklace…however, there are some outfits, that are not greatly suited for earrings. It truly depends on what kind of jewelry as well. Simple necklace + Simple earrings = win…but that is just * my * look. There are some outfits one can wear many necklaces with and look cute.
Also, go with your gut feeling. If you feel like you are overdoing it…you probably are. [/consultafriend]

I like to follow the “when in doubt, don’t wear it” policy.
If you have to ask if it’s too much, it probably is.

Don’t wear jewelry. It only distracts us from your body. If your body isn’t worth looking at, we won’t see the jewelry anyway. Earrings are the one exception. Those are fine.

^You’re probably lonely

^You probably wear jewelry.

^Occasionally. I don’t really dress up enough for it

I would just like to say that I never notice jewelery, with the occasional exception of a necklace.

I notice earrings a lot. I hate when girls get their ears pierced in like 5 different places though.

^People still do that?

Coco Chanel once said that a girl should always take something off before leaving the house. But she also dated a Nazi.

Anyway, it depends on the outfit. If you’re wearing more than two rings on a hand, don’t wear a bracelet. If a bracelet (or watch) is particularly thick or otherwise noticeable, don’t wear rings. If you’re wearing complex earrings, your necklace, if you wear one, it really, really needs to be simple, needs to blend with the outfit. Consider very strongly whether you need one; does your outfit seem empty sans? Keep it simple, sweetie. You shouldn’t have a bunch of “popping” accessories.

In general, this is pretty simple. Just look in the mirror. If it looks off, take it off (or replace it with a more or less complex piece). If you personally can’t tell, ask someone who can, remember his/her advice, and base your own fashion sense on that.

uhh sometimes i overdo it by wearing long gold chains and tons of gold + colorful bracelets. Depends on my outfit. Usually if it looks plain i’ll wear a necklace to give some life to it so my outift will pop out more.–the same can go for shoes…if you’re wearing a pair of really bright or flashy looking shoes. Like for instance, i was wearing a maxi dress the other day so i put on some extra jewellry.

but i ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wear gold earrings though]–that are REAL[usually larger studs that come in cute shapes like hearts or elephants and i have one pair of hoop earrings that are gold]. [although once when i got into a fight with this one somali kid he called out on my earrings and called them FAKE i was so ****ed off].

i only have my ears pierced im not a fan of having more than 1 on my ear :/
