Our high school newspaper is designing t-shirts but we don’t know what to write on them…what have your newspapers done/do you guys have any good ideas?

Something like “we’ve got issues” or “we write good” , etc

Thanks :)

Thanks :)

I think it would be ironic for you to put “we write good” on your shirts. That would say blatantly that you don’t. Therefore, I don’t recommend that one, but I don’t have any other advice, unfortunately.

No, it would just be funny! I like it :)

Haha. Yes.

“Trust me, I’m a journalist”

Oh, and if you’re so inclined, I always thought it would be funny to have a shirt that said “sans serif” in Times New Roman font.

Not that anyone would GET it…

why not try:

someone who loves me very much went to _____ school’s newspaper headquarters and got me this shirt

^ thats too trite. it’s everywhere. be original.

just have it say No Spin Zone

it says something about your newspaper, what journalism is like in the real world, and it makes fun of Fox.

be original. okay
what about:

read my stuff, I’m a journalist.

Well, Journalists tend to follow their own senses of grammar. Read any newspaper and you’ll be surprised to see the number of mistakes they have. “We write good” must be something they do on purpose because they’re journalists.

We put an inside joke on ours last year…it said “_______ ________ Gazette…” on the front and “…if you know what I mean” on the back.

This year, because we go to this high school journalism conference thing called Journalism Day @ UNC-CH every year, we’re making shirts that say “What happens at J-Day stays at J-Day…”

…it doesn’t matter if anyone else gets them. We make our own fun…

I get it! lol

why don’t u try- Trust me! I’m a journalist - or - “Can I quote you on that?!”

I think ours say, “Black and White and Read All Over”

I like"

“we write good…real good ;D”

Our newspaper’s t-shirt slogan has a paper airplane and says “Our paper is fly.”

Yeah, it’s pretty sweet.

We also have hoodies that say “Get the scoop”, with an arm holding an ice cream scooper.

I love it.

I love the ideas above!

Erm…gr. I can’t think of any right now.

Ooo. I like the idea of the “get the scoop” hoodies. I would so buy one haha!
