Hi, I was wondering and this might be a stupid question but when the application is due the 15 of July, when would you get the acceptance/rejection letter? Wouldn’t you already have chosen a school and paid for a spot?

Who has a July 15th deadline? Is it for Freshman admissions? With the public schools. most have rolling admissions/u, that allow you to apply up to a certain date. For example, UWF has a June 1’st deadline for Fall freshman applications. The schools with later deadlines (like UWF), are not as selective, and don’t have issues with reaching freshman capacities. That allows them to keep recruiting into the summer.
However, the later you apply, the less your chances of being awarded a merit award, as they use these funds up early in the recruitment cycle. Also, they may (or may not!) run out of on-campus housing, if you apply too late.

Nova Southeastern University has the deadline of 15th of July, which just confuses me because by then schools have already sent out their acceptance/rejection letters…
Is this for NSU’s freshman application? Looks like they have a January 1’st deadline:

However, I always thought it was using rolling admissions. Different programs have different dates (for example, Nursing BS is May 15th), so you may want to contact NSU to confirm your date (800-541-6682), if you have any questions about it.
