June 2008- Math Level 2

thanks soulside and canadianftw for explaining those problems.

Back to the inverse question: the question give you f^-1(x) = something. And it asked you to find f(5) . So basically you would just put the inverse function into y= , graph it, and find the x coord when y=5 right?

or did it ask you what was x if f(x)=5 (wouldn’t that be too easy?)

what do you guys think -3 or 4 and omit 4 would be?

yo seems like your in the same situation like me…

i think its safe to hope for a 800 and if not we will get a 790 probably…since most people seem to think the curve to be 7 questions…

If I got around 5 wrong and 2 omit, then what do you think my score will be?

Yea, hoping for an 800 most likely 780-790

hey guys regarding the curve what would 6 wrong with no omits probably be…im really hoping it can be an 800, do i have a good chance lol?

revolution, im guessin 790 or 800 since for me its 4omit 3 wrong(might be more) and thats what i figure im getting…

but i think its fair for us to hope for an 800 since the curves probably 6-8 questions…

sixthsense, that’s a -8 raw score which is a leeeeetle too optimistic =/

^isnt 6 wrong 42.5 which rounds to 43 or is there no rounding…im not sure…if it is a 43 do i have a chance, thanks!

what do u mean? its rounded up? or the # wrong is rounded up? ahh =P

^um i thought that 6 wrong would be 44 correct, and then after the guessing penalty that would be an additional 1.5 off…right, and then that would result in 42.5 which would then be rounded up, someone please correct me if im wrong and tell me whether i still have a chance of getting an 800.

12 omits…3 or 4 wrong…can i get high 600s-low 700?

Was it 3 or 4 bounces. I def thought it was 3, not 4.

When are we going to get the scores?

26th lol

it was 4 bounces…im pretty sure, you have to count the initial bounce lol

^agreed as well lol

how does 7 omits and 4 wrong sound?

yeah, it said how many times did the ball hit the ground, so the initial one counts too.

I’m having the same problem with that bouncing question.
The thing is, I remember it asking how many times before it gets to a height of less than 6 inches (which would be 3), but I probably overanalyzed the question and it really just wanted for how many times to get to less than 6 (which would be 4).
