June 2010: Biology

What was the answer to something along the lines of “this happens in a biological community”

was it that decomposers recycle energy or that producers obtain more energy than primary consumers on the trophic level.
I couldn’t decide between these two?! aren’t they both correct?!

@ almostskater because that curve seems to lenient, just my take on it, imo 68 will get no more than 730

@andrewpwnyou
In both of the released version the curve was as such, and in my opinion both those tests was much easier then the one we had on saturday.
The people that have taken the released versions should without a doubt agree with me, so in that case wouldn’t on expect the curve to be just as lenient if not more?

hmm, do you know where i could find that curve?

what was the answer to the one question about where the food was stored in the stem?

I’m a freshman and I left 12 blank and at max got 8 wrong. I was aiming for around 750 and was very surprised when my proctor called time and I didn’t have enough time to answer the ones I left blank. I’m very worried that a score in the 600s could ruin my chances of getting into an Ivy League school especially because I want to do pre-med. I took M and I’m wondering what a 58-64 would get me and if I should cancel my score.

@ JBIGRED you’re only a freshman you could take it again. You have a lot of time to prepare for it.

what was the answer to the one with the following choices: carbon dating, fossil record, nucleotide sequence, and amino acid sequence???

@JBIGRED

You’re looking at a 700-720. ;)

@james11223 the answer to that question was carbon dating because the question asked soemthing about determining evolutionary relationships

wait why cant the answer be nucleotide sequences?

and also for the sagebrush question was it I and II only, or I,II, and III??? im so confused, i remember III had something to do with climate and elevation

for the moth lab…was it observation, hypothesis, experiment, conclusion, it supports her hypothesis?

@sevenkong

Yup thats what i got!

@james11223 I think the one wiith carbon dating was an except question

@andrewpwnsyou
I acquired the tests from my bio teacher but I believe she got them from the collegeboard books. If you want, you can PM me what you want to check or something and I can give you the score, if that’s what you need.

@almostsk8tr

can you please tell me what a -4 on M would b?

I took the SAT Bio on May 1st or something, I thought it was harder than the AP exam (maybe because I studied for the AP exam and not the SAT)

@James11223, that would be a 780.

^i believe some1 said anaphase 1, i misread that and put prophase =(

how would that be a 780??!?!? wouldnt that be more like a 790
