***June 2016 ACT Discussion Thread***

@Currywiththeshot Yes a composite score of 34 is definitely within Ivy league range. Reviewing the admission stats for any school you’re interested in will give you the 25-75% range for that school and give you more precision as to where you stand. However, as you know, ACT or SAT scores are only one component of a college application, and even applicants with a 36 are sometimes rejected. Good job on your score!

First time with very little preparation. Looks like my focus will definitely be math come fall.

So I was speaking to some of my friends from my testing center and it appears that none of them have received there scores yet from this specific testing center? I was wondering if this was because ACT grades by testing center and have not gotten to it or maybe that there’s an investigation or something at the testing center? Thank you! I just want my scores back :((

:-h

Scored perfect 36 :)>-

Reading, Math, English 36
Science 35

@WorriedMan I cannot say if ACT grades by testing center. Actually, I would doubt it because someone I know who took it at the same center I did got her scores almost a week earlier than I did. ACT has to grade tests for the whole country, so some scores take longer than others because they release them in batches rather than all at once, usually at a later date like collegeboard/ETS does with the SAT. You will just have to wait this one out. Don’t worry.

@ringer123 umm a 35 on science was not possible it went straight to 34.

There are multiple tests with different curves. I guess.

Good luck everyone who are waiting for results :expressionless:

Should I submit a test with better English and Math scores (because I’ve heard these two are the more important two sections for colleges) or a test with a better composite score, but lower section scores in math?

Holy crap I thought I bombed it I’m so happy with my scores. Should I send in these scores or my SAT Scores? (Old: 800M/800W/660CR and New: 770M/730R)

Got a 36 Composite, but writing came in yesterday and I got a 23??!! Anybody else have low writing scores?

@java23 That seems to be a trend in the discussions for each ACT

@java23 Yup, I went from a 34 in writing to a 28 - I seriously hope they don’t matter much to colleges bc I don’t understand the grading one bit - and I’ve maintained solid 95s for both semesters of AP Eng Language -_-

@SuperPoofi - great job! Send the ACT scores, no doubt.

Anyone tested today?

Anybody there?
Did anyone get their scores today?

no score here :frowning:
