Could anyone do a compilation for the June one with the giant squid?

BTW, I took the test in Japan. Is this test different from the one in the states?

Could anyone do a compilation for the June one with the giant squid?

BTW, I took the test in Japan. Is this test different from the one in the states?

mythical status…i remmeber that for one of the answer for the giant squid one
and the last question was like “what assumption is made by both passages or something?” And i put the squid has never been examined by a scientist…

can someone make a thread for the math section cuz the section in the states is differnt from other regions?

oh also i remember topography as one of the SC answer
i got malaise too…dont’ remember getting innocuous
And also lugubrious for one of them, and spate for another.

the assumption was that a LIVE squid was never examined by a scientist

and @ hyper222, yes, the test was apparently different.

^ Yeah I got that too!

What was the answer to the first biographers question?

@Flame:
Q: What can be inferred from paragraph 2 of Passage 2 about Verne’s description of the attack of the squid on the submarine?
A: That it had a description of the squid before that.

Are you sure??? I eliminated that one and chose something like it was based on a real life experience!

^ Flame is right…I got the same answer as him

I got “passage 2 explores a subset of passage 1” because passage 1 talked about how hard it is to write biographies, and passage 2 talked about writing biographies about writers. Others disagree though.

I thought the section 2 with dictionary and motorcycling was disastrous. why they gave us the longest CR at the beginning??

BTW I didn’t knew that different time zones have different passages… and this can be unjust if the other were easier…

Agreed, section 2 was the hardest CR

@tetrisfan I’m a she, no a he. :)

The last question:
Q: What assumption can be made from both passages?
NOT A: That no scientist has ever examined a LIVE squid.

The key word is LIVE. It’s only mentioned in the first passage, not in the second. I don’t remember what answer I chose, though. I had put that one first but then changed it (for the reason above)

Sorry :).

I put down the above-mentioned answer because it seemed the best of the lot…

It was a trap (I think). I mean, it WAS the last Q so normally it wouldn’t be that obvious (and that A really was too obvious)

all continents apart from the states had those passages?

ditto

the rest of the answer choice did not seem pertinent to either passages (squid) so i thought that was the best choice

I don’t think it’s LIVE either, cause the second passage did not mentioned it at all, unfortunately I can’t remember may choice

BTW where did you guys take SAT? Europe?

The second passage did talk about how it would be good and bad if we found one. Doesn’t that imply that they’re yet to find a live one?

Is any kind soul willing to list all 4 answers for the biographers’ passages? :D

for the biography thing I put
“somethingsometihng… the subjects of the biographies”…
because the first passage was talking about writers and the second paragraph was about biographies about writers lol since it said “biographers find writers suitable subjects for biographies” or sth
:S now i look at all your diff answers… not 100% sure though

and I put “revival” for the old film question thing…but lots of you put “spate”
i’m worried now
