Junior Parent's Weekend

Just got back this weekend from our daughter’s Junior Parent’s Weekend at ND. What an amazing time. For anyone still considering Notre Dame, you must know that it is unlike any other school. Truly, it’s just so much more… For those that don’t know, JPW (as it is called) is a time to visit campus and partake in your child’s ND experience. It has been going on for 58 years! From the Gala Friday night, to the President’s dinner and brunch, we were constantly amazed at the special place Notre Dame is. So many think of it and football, and that’s okay! But, it is so much more… The Mass on Saturday, complete with 30 priests, the symphony orchestra, Liturgical choir, Women’s choir and folk choir brought it all home, that this is more than can be described.

The family of Notre Dame is hard to describe, but we were so fortunate to have a chance to live it this weekend. We are so very proud of our daughter and her friends.

Love thee Notre Dame…

Thanks for that feedback, looking forward to this in 2 years! My son is so happy at Notre Dame, and we can’t believe that he only has a bit over 2 months left of his freshman year!

We were there this weekend too and it truly was an amazing experience. It was so nice to meet the parents of my son’s friends. We were especially touched by Fr. Hesburgh’s speech at the Sunday brunch. Like most things they do, ND strives for excellence at JPW. It appears to me no detail goes unplanned. I highly encourage all ND parents to attend if possible–even those who, ahem, have sons who aren’t quite as excited about it all as the girls are.
