I will be a junior taking several sophomore classes. I’m transferring to a different school (public to private) so the grade standards are different. I’m just worried that I won’t be able to befriend many people my age because we won’t be in many classes together. Also, will this affect me at all during college admissions? Has anyone else had this problem before?

It’s very common for students admitted to boarding schools to do that, or even to do 9th grade in a public school then 9th grade again at the boarding school. Colleges know that’s because the academic standards and expectations are so much higher. It won’t be detrimental as long as you do a great job.
