I am planning to swap stagecraft for Italian year one. Is my schedule rigorous enough? The only other ap offered is Chem but I would have to start school at 715, and I already live an hour away. I don’t think I would make it on time, and ultimately do bad. Should I take ap Chem instead of environmental? If I do good enough in hs level environmental, will I be able to do good on the ap test if I take it alone? Thanks
Take whichever one you’ll feel more successful in, though I’ll say that AP Chem is one of the hardest AP classes out there. I wouldn’t recommend taking it if you aren’t interested in that subject. The APES test is outspokenly one of the easiest AP tests; if you take the class and put in a little self-studying from a prep book, you shouldn’t have a problem getting a 5 on the exam. Overall, I’d say this is a great schedule.
Definitely a good schedule. But I do have one concern- you’re taking Italian year one in your junior year. Most colleges recommend 3 years of a language, so I’m worried you aren’t going to meet this requirement.
My school usually only gives you one year. I’m trying to do 2 starting now. Almost nobody does 2 years in mine, and I don’t think a third is even offered. Would I not get in if I start this year?
You’ll have to make SURE your guidance counselor states that your school only offers 2. But a way to bypass this is to take level 1 at a community college then level 2 at a community college the next semester, as this would count as high school level 3…and one more college semester means you’ve completed the admission requirements for the most demanding colleges.
I agree your schedule is OK with environmental science.
If you’ve already taken biology and chemistry, make sure that senior year you take physics even at regular level (honors or AP 1 IQ stronger but having physics is important.)
My school actually doesn’t have physics
