I think we just finished WWII. It’s not the bad, except my teacher is a fiend when she grades the In Class Essays. I have yet to get an A on one of those. As are 95% of the APUSH students. Although I love her class. The best is when the extra credit assignment is to do a song about a labor union, and you and your friend do a rap on the AFL. I would link you, but it’s just too embarassing.

In case you were wondering, the dumplings are delicious.

We’re on Kennedy right now.
I hate how fast our class is moving, but I love that we’re like 4 chapters away from being done with the American pageant :D

Yeah. I feel like we’re behind schedule or something, because the test is still the first week of APs…I feel like she’s going to slam us with readings the second break is over. Joy.

Ramen = so good. Then I had it in Japan and I wanted to cry, it was so good. Poor Japan…

To CPU aka the OP, Please don’t take two Math Subject Tests. That’s just unnecessarily painful. Math II has everything Math I has, except with trig and precalc. .__.

to anyone in Newyork… do you SEE this weather ??? amazinggggg ! <3

i should do my pre-calc homework … considering i got a 1/20 on this last test … honestly im almost to the point where im just like whatever ill pass with a 79 … and then i look at CCer stats (BS’d or not) and i get back to my senses .

and i agree CPU . just take math II. i wish my school had more languages . my old school had spanish, italian, german, french and latin. this one only has spanish and italian . the highest level is College spanish and Italian 3 regents. THREE !! it makes me sad because i love learning languages. i wanna do it as like a side hobby.

Ah, I wish we had Italian. I would definitely ditch Mandarin for that. Since we don’t, I “learn” it in my free time. Read: Review the 1st chapter in a self-study book. Over and Over Again. And again. I’m pretty sure I sound like a fool when I speak it, too. I can’t trill Rs to save my life. But I love it.

I love listening to German people speak. It’s amazing. lol

I was wondering if a UK Student can squeeze in. I am currently a BTEC Extended National Diploma in Creative Media Production Level 3 (Highest) student.

Planning to apply to:
Chapman University Dodge College - Hoping to major in B.F.A. Creative Producing. I think Chapman is perfect for me so it’s the only place I am planning to apply to. But I am still looking around at other American Universities.

Me too >:( Speaking of ignorant…UCLA library fake poly-sci b-word girl on youtube anyone?

@BlackRose we need to have kdrama talk…I’ve definitely seen way too many for my own good. Never got into japanese stuff though. and I’m Chinese but I don’t really enjoy Taiwanese ones…some of the music is alright though.

Regarding APUSH, my teacher was horrible and I had a personal problem with him when he called me a bad student for not asking questions (he also never lectured…how do you teach history without lecturing, may I ask?) and I dropped his class last semester. I’m not worried about it. he wouldn’t have prepared me and I wasn’t about to slave over something that didn’t interest me. WHAP was much more fun. Plus I’m still in the top 5% bracket even after dropping an AP. shrug Good luck to you all! It’s a tough class, but you guys can do it I’m sure. I just couldn’t stand the teacher. I’ve never been called a bad student in my life. What a condescending jerk.

I know what you mean Dax. I was injured badly back in November (2010) so I have been out for a while. But being out has helped me gain more study and work time.

This is why i’m glad that I do not take AP.
All you AP people scare me with horry stories.

I watched that UCLA vid.
I just want to stand up and smack that girl.

I am (well i fake that I am) Japanese. You would not beleive the amount of people who think it’s the truth. So my fake Japanese part of me is slightly hurt. But not tooo much. When an idiot talks should it hurt you? Not really. It just bothers me that she would post a vid like that.

and yes!!! I love dramas. Have you watched any good ones lately?
K-pop has really grabbed my attention as well.

CC is bothering me. I’m about to just stop posting. It’s so annoying to see all of these racist/ignorant posts.

“I got rejected but the black/Hispanic kid got in”

Someone even Said that 37 black kids at his school were accepted to ivies/MIT and the “higher achieving” white kids barely made it to community college. That’s a damn lie.

When they get accepted, theyre happy. When they get rejected, they blame it on minorities, like we don’t deserve anything and we’re all stupid. If I got rejected and said the adcoms were being racist, they’d argue with me, but it’s “okay” for them to do it.

If you don’t get accepted to a school, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Not everyone is like that. It’s just a few kids. And some of these IVY wannabes need someone to blame for their failure and stupidity at not getting into an Ivy or a top 10.
So they just pull the AA card. If someone ever does that to me i’ll have a fun time smacking them :P

But do not take these people seriously. They are idiots.

@black: There are some scary AP stories…but I’ve come across far more good teachers than bad if that helps haha

What do you mean you fake that you are Japanese?? I haven’t been watching very much during the school year. but the last one was My Princess which was actually pretty cute and lighthearted. Freshman year I was obsessed with Boys Before Flowers. For my bday my friend bought me the star necklace from Korea

Really funny response to the UCLA girl (type this into youtube or google) Vlog #4: Asians in the Library - UCLA Girl (Alexandra Wallace) going wild on Asians

@CPU Agreed. I saw your post in the UW thread. People get so anxious they stoop so low as to blame minorities for ‘stealing’ their admission spots. UMM do they even hear themselves? if you’re not good enough of a fit for the school, you aren’t admitted. simple. people have to realize schools with a holistic approach like UW aren’t going to accept you over another (who might happen to be African American…so what?) just because you scored 100 points higher on the SAT. they might be a better student for UW to take in.
Don’t stop posting! we’d miss you too much!
