<p>I wasn’t initially going to try, as my junior grades might be a tad lower than I want them, but the thought of getting into my top school before all this admissions insanity that I would have to endure in the spring is incredibly appealing.</p>

<p>I wasn’t even considering Yale until I visited New Haven this past week, I fell totally in love!!!</p>

<p>how many of you are applying to Yale even though it is not your first choice?</p>

<p>I can’t decide whether it is worth it to apply early since I couldn’t apply anywhere else early action. Any thoughts on who should apply early vs. who shouldn’t?</p>

  • I’m applying early and it is definitely my first choice school (i’ll probably enroll); that said, I’m also going to apply to (ranked by preference) Columbia, Harvard, and NYU when/if I get into yale early.</p>

  • I thinkt hat it makes since to apply early if you think you have STRONG chances of being accepted. That way, even if you aren’t accepted, you know you’ll still have a good chance of getting accepted to lower level universities (usually those that don’t have SCEA) for regular decision</p>

<p>Procrastination, I don’t think eating food is suggesting that the early action program gives you a strong chance of acceptance. I think she means that if you think you have a good chance of getting in, then go ahead and apply early.</p>
