Just a thread for all fellow Indians applying to Ivys and equivalents for the class of 2019

Hello People!

Hello dude!

hi there, to what all colleges are you applying?

Penn, Princeton, Harvard, Columbia, Cornell, Caltech, UC Berkeley, UCLA, MIT, Stanford. You?

All the same except Columbia, Caltech, UCLA. Is Caltech really worth applying? I mean not from the college point of view. Its class size is so small. Do we have good chances over there?

Not likely if you need financial aid. Small class size is better for me! Are you applying to Yale, Dartmouth and Brown?

No not yale or dartmouth or brown. How can a small class size guarantee your admission and especially if you are international?

I didn’t say that. I meant that Caltech is pretty stingy with FA. They mostly chose International medalists.

Do you happen to have a medal?

Nope dude, that’s why my chances are slim!

Then why apply to Caltech? I mean you can take a chance with MIT but Caltech has such small class size

So what? Why not even try there?

I am in no way trying to demotivate you. That’s what I think. I too was going to apply to Cal but then because of this limited class size, I won’t be. Just sharing my thoughts

Okay, I didn’t feel that. That’s your opinion.

So how many of you guys applied EA or ED?

EA to Harvard

would you mind telling your Stats and ECs?

High five! Me too! EA to Harvard

cool man lets hope we can both make it in!
