<p>GPA UW: 3.67 ( 4.0 every year after 9th grade… I graduated w/ a 3.81, but it was 3.67 when colleges made decisions)

ACT: 29 (science section gets me every time)

<p>And gee, your EC’s are SOO scarce. 500 volunteer hours, 3 sports, 2 leadership positions and an internship.</p>

Maybe you could post the results and then let everybody say what they thought would have happened. Just a suggestion from a poster who really, really wants to know what happened!!</p>

<p>University of Washington-Seattle = Accepted right away.</p>

<p>University of Wisconsin-Madison = “Postponed” (similar to waitlist) and eventually admitted.</p>

<p>Wake Forest University = Accepted.</p>

<p>UNC Chapel Hill = Denied right away.</p>

<p>UCLA = Accepted right away.</p>

<p>University of Illinois U/C = Accepted right away.</p>

<p>Harvard = Denied right away</p>

<p>Vanderbilt = Denied right away</p>

<p>Carleton = Accepted right away</p>

<p>Cornell = Waitlisted.</p>

<p>The only one that really surprised me was UCLA, as they are number freaks that pay more attention to numbers than individual character (which I think was your greatest asset)!</p>

<p>And UCLA wasn’t a shock to me at all.
Since they don’t calculate 9th grade into the GPA, they saw me as a 4.0 student with a decent ACT/SAT.</p>

<p>I really wish I had chosen UWash or UCLA though. I sort of regret choosing Madison.</p>
