I only got a 4 outta 7, and I have friends who got 7s, I believe I actually worked harder than them, but why do I get worse results?

Here’s a quote that might help explain it.

“No no, you’ve got it all wrong. Don’t you see? You have the heart, but you don’t have the soul. No no, wait. You have the soul, but you don’t have the heart. No no, scratch that. You have the heart and the soul, but you don’t have the talent.” - Chef

XD

Maybe the exam questions you missed were the few you didn’t know? I know in AP Psych I was the only one to get an A in my teacher’s class yet many people got perfect 5s.

@whschaps: I don’t get it
@seniorindian: I think the reason is that my English is too bad, I’ve only been in country for 2 yrs and still struggle with the language. And on IB exam there were ALL essay questions! That kills me!

The english issue is probably what got you on the exam. Language skills are extremely important in the IB.

What I found on the IB Psych exam was that I go extremely lucky. Although I was the best in my class, I chose to study preferentially. I did not study everything, because I predicted certain areas would be on the exam and others wouldn’t. Especially for Paper 2, where there are only three questions, I decided to get extremely comfortable with 2 aspects of the topic, and not the 5-10 that exist.

Also, if you’re a senior, then it really doesn’t matter as long as you got your diploma :)

No matter what someone says here, nothing will make you feel a whole lot better. But you just wait, in a month you’ll be thinking “Ah who cares?” this won’t be as upsetting .

Thanks y’all.
Hope this ugly 4 won’t affect my overall scores too much.
I still have 13 more exams to go next May…

Hopefully you mean 5 more IB exams and the rest are AP, right?

IB doesn’t let you take more than like 8 max, so I’m pretty sure that’s what Chinesetexan meant.

I actually mean: English paper 1,2, Spanish paper 1,2, History of the Americas paper 1,2,3, chemistry paper 1,2,3, math paper 1,2,3. And some additional AP tests as well.
