Kellenberg Memorial High School vs St. Francis Preperatory

Which is better in terms of academics?
Does it matter that Kellenberg does not offer AP courses?
What colleges do the graduates from both schools generally go to?
How rigorous are courses in both schools?
How ready for college are graduates from both schools?

I don’t think a lot of people here have heard of either schools, myself included. If you want some advice choosing between the two, you’ll probably want to give some details, and pros and cons. Sorry.

If you’re referring to the Kellenberg on Long Island, most public schools on Long Island are great anyway. St. Francis, on the other hand, is pretty good. It is well-respected and the kids see results. I personally think it’s kind of important that Kellenberg doesn’t offer AP courses, but in the end it’s your choice and depends on your personal values. I don’t know a ton about these schools, so I can’t help you with the rest of your questions, but good luck!

My brother considered Kellenberg (he’s going to another Catholic school next year) and it seemed like a nice place when he visited- the grounds looked nicer than St. Francis’, which I’ve visited but don’t know much about. I knew a few people who went to Kellenberg- some loved it and others hated it. It has a reputation for being really strict, and religion is emphasized a lot there (to the point where some people refer to it jokingly as a “cult”). Academically it has a good reputation, and I’ve heard that people who go there feel prepared for college. I don’t really know how it compares to St. Francis, but I think they’re both comparable. Good luck on your search for high schools- I’m sure you could be happy at either one.
