I have an interview at six flags tomorrow and I am wearing a striped collared shirt, nike sneakers, and I need help deciding between khaki shorts or blue jeans? My legs are kind of hairy so that’s the only reason I am thinking about the jeans and no I will not shave my legs. I know this outfit is too casual(even for a six flags interview), but I don’t have enough time to get proper clothes so that is not an option.

And in general, anyone have any tips/advice for the interview itself? This is my first job and I’m extremely excited/nervous.

It’s always better to overdress rather than to underdress, especially when it comes to job interviews. I don’t know anything about Six Flags, but I would personally never go to any kind of interview in anything less than dark jeans and a button-down.

Go with a slim or straight-fit pair of dark jeans. If you have a pair of shoes that are less casual than sneakers, I would wear those too.

I would opt for khaki pants (preferably navy or black), not shorts, and would also never wear jeans to an interview. Your choice of shirt is fine. It is always wise to dress BETTER than you will be expected to dress if and/or when you are hired.

Edit: I would also not wear athletic shoes. Instead, wear a dressier shoe that is not from the athletic shoe family.

Good luck!

Don’t you have some kind of church clothes? or somewhat formal party clothes.
DON’T wear Nikes and wear the jeans not shorts.
I would try to look as “formal” as possible even if it is for six flags
