korean~~~

what’s your parents’ expectations?? and how is it compared to your expectation??

my parents dont expect as much as other korean parents do…they are pleased with tier1 ucs…and and dont think of mid tier UCs as bad schools either…so im not as stressed as other koreans…

are there any koreans here??

I am a Korean(born in Korea too) kk my parents expect the best out of me.

OP : So is that good or bad?

it is good for me because they dont stress me out too much…

my parents don’t even care. They even want me to go to a Canadian university because they might not be able to afford about $50000/year for me

^^^^Oh wow, I wasn’t the only one  I’m sick of having to listen my parents say what a great school UBC is. But it simply comes down to this. MONEY.

yeah… money matters a lot for internationals

k, i am born in korea and am still living in korea…
i guess, parents’ expectations …extremely high (even since my older sista got into one of the ivys…happy for her, i really am lol)

but wat can i say? i was never the smart one in the family lol
they can’t expect me to be like…my sister…

conclusion:
S***! gotta get into one of the ivys!

Yeah… also born in Korea, and my parents are craaazy. They think Duke is a 3rd tier along with Vandy… haha…

I’m a Korean, born in Germany now in Switzerland, parents’ expectations way too high…I did apply to ivy schools but doubt I’ll get in. I had to change my whole list of universities because they think it’s not worth all the money.

Korean parent here. I did want my son to try for a top school so he has options all over the world.
