Ten characters.

I would think 6’2" since that is what I am.

anything between 5’3 and 6’5? It really doesn’t matter because I don’t think people care that much about height…as long as you’re at a reasonable height you’re fine.

or to better answer the question: whatever height the person you really like is, is the ideal height =]

This is going to vary greatly according to the respective heights of the girls who answer.

I am 5’0. My “ideal height” for a guy would be somewhere between 5’6 and 5’10.

However, my boyfriend is 6’0 and he is ideal for me. =)

5’10-6’2…

more proof that 5’ 9’’ will never be loved

However tall my husband is.

6’0" to 6’5", for me.

I’m 5’4" on a tall day, which makes me freakishly short in my family, though about average compared to all women. I think ideal height is about 6’-6’3", but I would happily date anyone between 5’8" and 6’5". Asians and Latinos would probably not have to meet aforementioned standards, but rather just have to be taller than me.

i agree with this

but i don’t even know how tall my crush is so…

lol @ giving affirmative action to asians and latinos based on height. I’ve never heard of this before.

And I wonder where that stereotype of Asians being short comes from. Perhaps because of malnutrition in previous cases, but nowadays (esp. Asian-Americans who grew up in the U.S. and the like) they don’t seem to be considerably shorter than Whites.

I’m mostly Asian (male), 5’10~5’11 still growing, and other asians I know are decent height too. Hm…

I agree with Invoyable. Most asians at my school are actually really tall.

The asians at my school (born in Canada) seem a bit shorter. I’d guess average height 5’8" instead of 5’10" average for whites. Definitely not midgets, though.

Yeah, from my experience the Asians tend to be slightly taller than Latinos on average, and a bit shorter than Whites/Blacks.

Anyways, on topic - from what I know, and based on my experiences (which aren’t much, so this is probably crappy), but I’d put in general 5’9~6’3 is acceptable, with probably 5’11~6’2 being most ideal IMO (depends on the girl’s height, etc).

For some reason 5’8 is looked down as short/somewhat lacking, while 5’9 is looked on as decent (I’ve seen this sort of mentality happen many many times from all parties). Why, I don’t know.

I was 5’8" until 19 and then grew to 5’9" and I never noticed a difference. IMO that’s just your own bias since you’re only slightly taller than 5’9" but significantly taller than 5’8".

I clump 5’8-5’10 into the short end of average and 5’10" to 6’ to the high end of average. Short is under 5’8" and tall is over 6’.

Hahah why does it start at 5’7? That’s only like 2 inches under average height for a guy…actually i’m not sure what average is for a guy, but i’m guessing it’s 5’9ish?

like 5’5 and up is fine with me…body type matters more than height though…i’d rather have a cute short guy with a hot body than a tall fatty. also, not too tall since i’m short and don’t want to have to stand on a box to kiss him hahah.

doesn’t start at 5’7", it starts anywhere under 5’8". Could be 5’7.9". And yeah that’s just my personal opinion on what short is. The term is really arbitrary.

No, I meant the OP listed the heights starting at 5’7…I was just wondering why that arbitrary number.
