I am so tired of trying new products that don’t accomplish what they advertise. My face is dry with fine lines, well, lots of fine lines While I use moisturizer before putting my make-up on, I do not moisturize in the evening; due to night sweats, I hate having something on my face and body that just makes me feel hotter at night. I have tried expensive products, cheap products, and those in between; I never notice any difference other than in price! The fine lines are the most noticeable to me after my make-up has faded later in the day. Maybe these lines will never go away, but I would hope there is a product that would make they look better.

Aveeno calming moisturizer with SPF 15 for during the day and Nivea creme for night, seems to do the trick, when I got a facial the other day she said to keep doing what I’m doing cus it seems to be working!

I just bought the whole Mary Kay skincare line. It is a 3 in 1 cleanser, noisturizer, night firming something or other and toner. Oh and sunblock. I’ve been using the system for about two weeks and my skin looks a bit better. Kinda dewy but not greasy.

I really hate smearing stuff on my face! So I do what my grandmother did who lived to age 101 and had lovely skin: wear a hat and sunglasses in the sun and always when driving. she also wore gloves when outside, lol! I love to be outdoors and in the sun and I hate putting on sun screen so I go for physical protection.

I exfoliate with a wash cloth and bar of Dove soap a couple times a week. If I feel really dry I’ll use a little moisturizer. I use Estee Lauder pressed powder when I’m being fancy.

I just think being really healthy and watching out for the sun and keeping a stable good weight are the keys to a good longterm complexion.

I would recommend Retin-A (prescription). I really think it makes a difference in how skin looks- even lines.

I use Rodan + Fields skin care line (have to buy it like Mary Kay through a rep) and I like it a lot. I started with it in October. I use the Anti-Aging regimen, which has a cleanser, toner, night and day creams. I also have their eye cream.

I love products. I always try new things. I think my skin has done pretty well considering that I run outside and spent younger years not being very careful about the sun.

I NEVER use soap on my face. Take makeup off with whatever moisturizer I have handy, sometimes use real eye makeup remover, but baby oil works fine.

I have dry skin, so I moisturize a lot. My favorite facial product is clinique superdefense (with SPF 25) for dry to very dry skin. It’s light and does indeed seem to minimize fine lines.

I use several products by Kiehl’s. DD worked there before getting her big girl job and was fortunate enough to get some fabulous discounts and occasional products during gratis days. Honestly, before she got me going on better skin care, I didn’t even wash my face on a regular basis before bed each night. Now I have to use a sharpie to number the tubes and jars so I’ll know when to use what. The products are very nice but I’m cheap so I won’t replace them whey they run out.

CeraVe for a facial cleanser works well without drying – I used to be a big Cetaphil fan, but I like this even better.

Product I most love to hate at the moment: L’Oreal Sublime Sun SPF 50 Liquid Silk Sunshield for Face. Which is great if you want your face to look shiny and greasy and have a beachy smell. (And my skin runs to dry…so eek if you even have normal skin.) I’m going back to the pricey but not disgusting Elta MD UV 40 Sheer Moisturizing facial sunscreen

I too use Cetaphil to wash my face. After patting it dry, I use a glycolic acid pad to gently exfoliate skin and it also smooths fine lines. Then I use Olay Regenerist moisturizers. Ask your dermatologist if Retin-A is good for you and that should be applied at night. And yes, sunscreen is important. Actually, after the glycolic pads and before the moisturizer, I’m also supposed to use Citrix antioxidant pads that’s supposed to deliver free radical fighting properties to resist premature aging. But I tend to skip that step often.

I use Cetaphil face wash, Cetaphil moisturizer and Neutragena SPF 50 on the recommendation of my dermatologist. I have very dry skin have seen a lot of improvement since I started using these. Before I switched I was using Bobbi Brown moisturizers, which I liked a lot but are very pricey. I’ll probably use her tinted moisturizer over the cetaphil come winter when I start looking washed out.

Agree with Arabrab on the CeraVe line. I use the thick cream in the winter on my feet and hands and elbows and now and then on my face. It’s good stuff.

Have never understood the Cetaphil appeal. My DH uses it though. He has super sensitive skin.

Another good thing for skin is lots of salmon, I think. We grill it a lot and also buy the flat cans of wild salmon at Trader Joe’s and put them on salads a lot. The oils in the salmon are good for the skin.

I am wrinkling. No question. But you have to really look close. And I’m pretty okay with my general skin tone. I feel as if I look better as I age, actually. The real me coming out. Yikes.

I never had beautiful skin. I am fair, I easily freckle, and I foolishly thought in my youth that if I stayed in the sun long enough I would get tan.

I like Perricone products and I do think they help. They have a Vitamin C product that really helps. The stuff is pricey, but I am not a fan of needles or other instruments of torture.

I have oily skin still, at age 54. As a result I have very few fine lines, so I don’t worry about wrinkles. I use Olay Regenerist with sunscreen in the morning, and their night cream in the evening. They’re non-greasy but keep my skin hydrated.

IMO, it’s all a matter of finding something that feels good on your skin and (for me) has a nice scent. Nothing (except Retin-A) that you apply topically is actually going to get rid of wrinkles. The differences between creams are mostly down to marketing.

I really like the Paula’s Choice line of products [RESIST Anti-Aging System: Paula’s Choice Skin Care & Cosmetics](<a href=“Paula's Choice”>Resist | Paula's Choice) I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin’s firmness and lessening of fine lines after I started using this for a little while. I use this line’s cleanser, toner, daily retinal (5% AHA) and Kiehl’s Vitamin C and then the weekly retinol treatment. The prices are so much lower than comparable brand name products and just as good (if not better).

My dermatologist recommended Lumiere Bio Restorative Eye Cream by Neocutis. I use it under eye and on those lovely lines above the lip. Definitely see a difference. Very light texture - I can’t deal with anything gloppy or gooey. And I can’t deal with anything with a scent. It is odorless. And it doesn’t bother my eyes at all, I found a lot of products irritate my sensitive, contact lens wearing eyes. This does not.

Been using Murad age reform products as well. Not sure if they do anything.
