Lambeth room layout

Hi,

I’m a transfer student, and I have a room in lambeth next year!!

I have question about room layout.

Ok. So I see this picture here

<a href=“ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs”>ImageShack - Best place for all of your image hosting and image sharing needs

. The thing under window is heater, right?

Is the heater always under the window? I looked at picture of room layout. Can someone tell me if heater is under window in the circled room? I circled window to help you.

Thank you lots.

That’s a heater in the first picture. In the second picture, you circled the desk.

Thanks for your comment, I think we misunderstand though!!

I see the heater under the window in Lambeth room.

I circled the desk because on the map, that’s where the room window is. Look closely at the map, you will see the window behind the desk.

I guess I’m asking for someone with personal experience!! Please help me out, thank you.

The heater is also the air conditioner, similar to the units you see in hotels. And yes, all of them are under windows.

But keep in mind that the middle bedroom in a six occupancy apt in Lambeth does not have one.

I lived there 2nd year, so i’ll try to help (they’ve renovated them since I lived there, so they may still be different)
In the 3 bdrm units, the outside two rooms have the AC/heater under the windows, the middle room has no heater/AC, but a vent for circulation between the other two rooms.
In the 2 bdrm units, one room has an AC/heater unit under the window, the other room does not.
So in the picture, the room with the desk circled has no AC/heater unit, whereas the other room does
Both layouts have a main AC/heater in the living room.
The heater/AC does not take up too much space. I slept under the window and had the unit at the top of my bed, and it just made my bed stick out from the top of the wall by about 6", but it’s the same width as the bed, so it wasn’t funky. I used it to put my alarm clock on, it worked out nicely.

Also, the carpet in the rooms looks awesome, I wish I had carpet in mine :frowning: they have seem to have done a great job renovating the places. Have a great time in Lambeth, I lived there as a transfer too and had a blast! I roomed randomly, and I’m still VERY good friend with 3/5 of the other girls, and off to hang out with one of them for the night in fact!

Thank you so much shoebox10! That was exactly the response I was looking for!

Maybe I will see you guys around UVa! I’m so excited!!
