laptops useful to carry around school for filling out online apps?

just an idea i thought of.

what do you think?

like to fill out apps… while you’re at school? Why?

If your school has wireless then maybe . . . I wouldn’t lug around a laptop with me at school just to fill out apps if the same thing can be done much more easily at home.

what if you stay at school most of the time?
right up until end of october/beginning of november, i will have little time, since that’s the marching band season. our practice starts at 5:45, ends at 9, so there’s no use of going home…

Well I guess if you have free time between school and marching band and don’t want to go home, then go for it.

er… if you’re using the commonapp online, couldnt you just sign into your account on one of your school’s laptops?

our school doesnt have laptops readily available for students to use.

oh. really? that sucks

what do you do after school till 5:45?

yeah actually… why does your practice start at 5:45?

Because marching band kids are weird…
in a good way… :)

oh come on now. the most substantial part of the application are the essay(s). the other stuff should take you a small fraction of that time. if you insist on spending time in school on your app, work on a paper copy of your essay. doing that would be a wiser use of your time.

:-/ okay red06. i usually go for a run and/or do hw in the band room.

my school doesn’t give us laptops, but I would not even think of taking mine to school because the entire school would be on me like bees on honey (that sounds much dumber that it did in my head) because none of them have ever seen a laptop before, so taking it would mean the last time I would ever see it, just do your apps at home, it’s safer.

none of them have SEEN one? …
yeah, i guess i should direct that two hours into something else. after all, i go for a run and come to get dinner, and i would have like 45 min left…doesn’t sound like a good idea. :-] thanks for all your input
