I want to go to a college with a large, beautiful campus with a relatively small-medium student population (5,000-10,000). Can anyone think of some? Perhaps a proud graduate wishes to boast about their alma mater…? :-)

So far, these seem to be the most as labeled the “Most Beautiful Campuses” by the websites I’ve visited:
UVA
Pepperdine
Loyola Marymount
Duke
Swarthmore

Of course there are more, but what do you guys think?

What universities in the US have large, beautiful campuses with about a medium-sized student population? What do you like about them? Architectural style, the environment/nature life, overall culture…?

Stanford. Personally, I’m not particularly partial to the architecture or the layout of the campus, but I’d bet that I’m in the minority there. The campus is simply massive relative to undergraduate population.

And Stanford’s campus is huge, though most of it just look like fields of palm trees.

But why do you want a large campus? When you wake up in the morning, the last thing you want is to walk to class at the other end of a gigantic campus.

I can understand why a large campus would be attractive: lots of free space, places to jog, places to explore. And cornell is only 3k undergrads over the OP’s limit of 10k - and it does appear to be within the criteria of large and beautiful campuses.
