<p>The swab in the latest journal entry mentioned fairly rough seas and a series of challenging situations to take care of. I heard that the seas were 10 ft waves and 8 ft swells (it could actually be the opposite due to my noisy household.) How bad is that relative to what is bad when traveling on a ship?</p>

<p>I obviously know nothing about this and am just wondering.</p>

<p>I would say these are moderately heavy waves. With the Eagle if things get too rough they put into a safe port or harbor. This has happened in the past. However it does cross the Atlantic routinely and can ride out these kinds of storms if necessary.</p>
