@the majestic - I think it’s pretty open-ended and the prompt just has examples of what you can include. Other ideas are welcomed.

@TooCool4School - January 31 is the deadline. Launch is much more about starting an actual company during the summer, so it really depends on what you want to get out of it. A lot of the students from the summer have gotten into great schools including MIT, Stanford, etc, so is also very prestigious.

@Dilan412 - There must have been a bug in the system that made it show early admission. If it keeps showing it, I’d follow up with them.

How long does the application take to complete? I just found out about this program, but I don’t know if ill have enough time to put together a complete application.

It took me a week or so to get all the informations for the transcript and psat together. The questions themselves took 2-3 days to make them perfect. Also the powerpoint and essay took a while to make.

Ok, thanks. I guess I’ll do my best with 2 days left. In case I don’t make it, do you know of any other similar programs with a later application date?

Checkout: endevvr.com. They are essentially the same as Launch, but 2 weeks longer (6 weeks in total). In fact, Endevvr is a spin-off of the original Launch program.

Deadline for regular admissions is March 1st

Thanks Stuffzhappenin. I checked it out and looks really good. I think I’ll just focus on that one, since I probably won’t finish the launch one in time.

I got into Endevvr!! I have no idea how I’m going to afford it though, I’ll need to put my entrepreneurship skills to the test and hope that I get a scholarship.

1s and 2s in Scottish Standard Grade Exams (all As)
Endevvr didn’t ask for test scores but Launch did; I got 225 on the the PSAT.
Essay was pretty good though what really got me in was the interview.
ECs: In a band that has toured regionally, formed a tutoring organization in my community, web dev/design work, represented my school in several international singing competitions and I teach young kids how to ride unicycles.

Has anyone who applied RD gotten a phone interview. Also, what were the questions like and did you get and email saying when Launch was going to call.

I applied RD to Launch. Congrats @psohom. If you don’t mind, can you post your stats so I have an idea about what to expect. I am assuming you applied ED.

@Dilan412 : What I especially liked about this program was its holistic approach in choosing worthy candidates. It was more about what the candidate could do outside of academics as opposed to in the classroom. Majority of students can get A’s in Economics, Business and their respective high school courses but how many can actually do well outside of school? That is what was focused on in my interview.

Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.93/4.00
SAT I: Results pending.
Essay: Seemed good.
Recommendation: Good: From my Economics Professor.
PowerPoint: Good: Focused on Leadership, Teamwork, Entrepreneurship.
EC’s: Good:
-Charter President of an Internationally Recognized Community Service Club (Leadership and Teamwork)
-Lead Singer of School Band (Leadership)
-Lead Presenter in an inter-school Idea competition where we came 2nd (Entrepreneurship and Leadership)
-Collaboration with a Stanford Graduate to promote his application (Teamwork)
-Merit in Trinity Grade 5 Piano, and currently doing Grade 7 (Musical Abilities)
-Currently doing Trinity Communication Grade 6 (Honing Communication Skills)
-State-level Chess player in India (Analytical Abilities)
-Attended Stanford University last summer for College Credits (5 in Economics: “A” and 3 in Biology: “A”)
-Model United Nations (Honing Communication Skills)
Interview: Seemed good

That is a consummate list of my stats. But, what is more important than this list is how much all the things I did meant to me. My passion and drive for all these things were brought out through my interview. Regardless of your stats, I think it is more about your passion, and willingness to collaborate with others.

Quick question to whoever also received admission, where is this application with the acceptance form that needs to be filled out with a deposit?
