It’ll never stop.

We continue to read these tragedies.

And we keep electing people not interested in fixing this.

Sad for these families who lose these heroes.

Hope the minor injuries will heal well.
But, how upsetting for the officer and their family. I hope they may have a change of assignment or some time off.
Even minor injuries can affect one’s mental health and attitude.

Law enforcement officers are in their vehicles for most of their work shifts. That’s why vehicle accidents are the second leading cause of death for them, behind gunfire.

The names of 100 FBI Agents are on their Wall of Honor.

Of that 100, there were 27 agents that passed away from “health complications associated with exposure to toxic air during 9/11 recovery efforts.”

“ Butler became the 73rd law enforcement officer in the country to die in the line of duty this year, which is up 12% from the same period in 2023, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page website that tracks officer deaths. Butler is the 27th officer to be killed by gunfire, the same as last year’s year-to-date total.”

If you’ve ever watched an officer deploy stop sticks during a high speed pursuit, you know how dangerous it is.

“The GSP says the vehicle the suspect was driving was confirmed stolen and the driver had previously hit an East Ridge police officer as he was outside his of patrol vehicle trying to deploy stop sticks.”

Poor pup.
