<p>I applied about a week ago and got a message that same day saying they received my application. Results get back late this month. I created a Lead Engineering 2011 thread too but got no replies haha. You applied?</p>

<p>I applied to the Lead engineering for summer of 2011 and haven’t heard back yet. All of I heard was them asking for my midyear grades. Anyone heard back or know when they will hear back?</p>
<p>They should have sent you an email saying that they recieved you’re application a few days after you applied. If they said they needed your midyear grades maybe you were missing that from your app. We won’t know whether we got in or not until Next week most likely.</p>

i mean i’m iranian so i’m realllly low minority, so do you think i could get in even with bad pSAT scores but all A’s for midyear and stuff?</p>
<p>Since the LEAD Engineering program is fairly new (just started in 2008) it’s no where near as hard to get into as their LEAD Business program (which has been running since 1980). I think as long as you have great recs and essays that showed you have a great interest in engineering and/or science/math; and if your grades are decent you should be good. </p>
<p>I’m only a sophomore and my PSAT grade was really bad lol! But if you have all As and the rest of your app was good I’m sure you’ll be fine. </p>
<p>They have 150-200 spots so that’s a lot of students, I think we both have good chances because since it’s new they need kids to come for it to get a prestigious rep like their business program. </p>
<p>What college were you hoping to stay at if you get in? (UVA, UMichigan, Villanova, UC Berkley or Georgia Tech?)</p>

<p>I’m a girl and wow thats really good that you’re in APs already. Besides the self-descriptive essay my other article essay was about fossil fuels and its effects. I live in New York so going to California would be really cool but I don’t mind where I go I guess, I just want to get in!</p>

<p>I haven’t heard back yet, I called and they said if I don’t hear anything by Wednesday then I should call and they’ll read me the results. Pkhosr45, you’re a semi-finalist?? Well if someone decides not to go, they could have a spot for you. I hope I get in, I’m so nervous now!</p>
<p>I’m a “semifinalist,” which probably means waitlisted. I do know that many people drop out of this program and opt for a better one, so as long as the semifinalist list isn’t too extensive, we still have a chance.</p>

<p>I received an email on the fourth. Maybe they sent out semifinalists first? I suspect that if you did not receive an email on the fourth, you must have either been accepted or rejected.</p>
