<p>If you’re IS it doesn’t really matter. If you’re OOS, you’re viewed as “IS”, meaning you’l get preference over other OOSers, even with stronger applications. It’ll help you, but you still need to be competitive.</p>
<p>Just to head off the inevitable question that comes up next, OOS legacies aren’t part of the 2/3 of the class that must be in-state. </p>
<p>People have been confused by this, so we’ve started saying that legacies have a similar offer rate to the VA pool.</p>
